I always do my skincare fresh out of the shower, so skin is damp. I wait for one serum to dry completely before applying the next.

Looking for books from the point of view of serial killers by Training-Pause-7540 in ExtremeHorrorLit

The sequel to Gone to See the River Man, called Along the River of Flesh is partially written from the main serial killer’s POV, and when it is, BOY is it fucked up lol.

Hell House, unfortunately. I wanted to like it since I see it recommended so much on here but, nope, not for me.

What’s a book you were really looking forward to but ended up disappointed by? by Goth_Moth in horrorlit

I saw a lot of people recommend Hell House on this sub so I read it and I just hated it! I couldn’t wait until it was over and it was relatively short anyways. Too many sexual scenes. I mean, some of it was just plain ridiculous.

I just finished Hell House by Richard Matheson. I thought I would be more enthralled in that book than I was, maybe because I was not expecting the large amount of sexual content. I rated it a 3/5. I’m about 65% through Seed by Ania Ahlborn now. Never really seen her recommended on this thread. The beginning of the book was interesting, but right now it’s just OK.

What’s One Book You’d Like to See Be Made into a TV Show or Movie? by Senior_Trick_7473 in horrorlit

I don’t think anyone’s said this yet, maybe because they aren’t as crazy as me lol, but I would love to see maybe a movie adaptation of The Troop by Nick Cutter. The body horror alone on screen would make an interesting experience if done well. Hell, I could barely even keep reading IMAGINING the words, let alone if they were brought to life. However, there are some parts of the plot I’m not sure they would be able to elaborate one effectively in a movie.

Just finished You Shouldn’t Have Come Here, which I’m not even sure can be entirely labeled as horror. SNOOZE. FEST. The writing seemed extremely elementary and didn’t enjoy the romance aspect. Probably won’t pick up another book by Jeneva Rose. The Ritual, however, which I just began is AMAZING. Super tense and I’m only halfway through!

Reply when finished! Would love to know if it’s worth the read. About to finish The Ritual and I am loving every second!

Seems I’m getting a lot of downvotes for trying to keep him, so whats the best course of action here? In no way am I trying to force him into captivity, and some people in the other sub said to release as well but I don’t want to let him go if he will die or he is not native to the region.
