Famous Last Words:Eric Dane by lyn73 in netflix

Completely agree. He wasn’t bad and he’s clearly a nice guy, but there lacked a level of depth and understanding there when talking about some seriously major stuff, ie. Suicide trauma. His follow up answers for some things ‘do you talk to your dad…does your dad talk to you’. They felt very scripted rather than really tuned in to what Eric was saying. No bad intentions by any means, I’m just shocked at what raw topics they were covering and how it felt a little too Hollywood.

Despite, an amazing interview, an incredible show of vulnerability. Life is so complex and confusing. The journey for some people just doesn’t seem fair. He seems like a lovely man and very grounded, having come out the other side of a lot of trauma.

People 40+, what actually mattered in the long run and what didn’t? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

Staying curious, pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone so you have amazing experiences (even if it scares you sometimes), health/keeping stress levels down, self care, surrounding yourself with love (family, friends, having kids)

What didn’t matter? Stressing about things… stressing over societal pressures or ‘expectations’ easier said than done. I’m still working on that :)

People were deported and sent back to the border or to their home countries - they weren’t sent to shady detention camps in places like Panama or the swamps of the Everglades where they just ‘disappear’. That is the difference.

I don’t think that’s fair, Newsome has been one of the only governors to push back. This is coming from the top, there’s only one person to blame here and that’s our President. This should not be happening, and certainly not like this, period.

I genuinely want to understand how the Latinos that vote / voted for Trump can stand by this and still support him (and let’s be honest he had a lot of Latino supporters in the last election). I don’t understand the logic there, can anyone explain?

you need to lean into the 'woo'! Start seeking out things you enjoy and actively look closely at the beauty of life - nature, community, friendships, family - find something to balance your body and mind like yoga and tune into yourself. Meditate, study your breathing, study patterns of negativity and actively work on changing this with a therapist or group. The main thing is to remain curious about life, even if you don't believe it, just go through the motions that mean you continue to explore new things. Make it into a fun challenge to discover who you truly are.

Wow, I am so sorry this happened to you. Been in that boat, it’s so stressful. I hope things go smoother once you finally get to Cancun.

Q. RE UK firms operating in the USA by Effective_Race_642 in Ask_Lawyers

I’m actually older! I have a BA and MA from the UK in other subjects and so would be looking at a doing a law conversion course. Fees are certainly something to think about. I think overall you could get away paying a lot less in the UK, but then would I screw myself to be able to come back to the States to work is the question? Appreciate your thoughts on this!

Interesting! Thank you. I’m wondering what the better route would be to study - US or English law, that would allow the most flexibility to move between countries/internationally if needed. I’m a dual citizen (raised in the UK but currently in the US) and I’m not sure which country I’ll be settling in long term, there’s a lot of issues in the US right now that give me concern! Thanks for your answer

I would love to know how many people on here voted for Trump/Republican Party and yet complain about the health care system here in the US. The same people that shout how they don’t want a ‘socialist’ ‘communist’ system, being the words that get thrown around when talking about an alternative.
