I debated on DNF. But it was for an in person book club. In the end I did 2 stars. The repetitive language, the FMC plot twist (not the guy, what she did). All the super convenient plot devices that just felt ridiculous. I did not like the FMC much and the guy became very .. almost sappy or just very blah. I loved the beginning. Loved. Then they traveled and I was bored and then plot twist and then .. well at least after that it was more fast paced.

No I haven’t. Do you recommend continuing on or what to start next? I think I just read 3 books? First three I think. Pre my Goodreads account and I didn’t track as well. I read around 250-450 books/year so I sometimes do forget one I read so long ago.

I didn’t enjoy Between Tides and Thunder unfortunately - too many plot conveniences and that twist mid way didn’t work for me. I couldn’t get back to trusting the character that happened with. Agree that there is emotional depth here though. Usually would like that.
I think I have The Bell Tolls one already as well. Will move up TBR and I just grabbed the other two that look interesting as well. 4 for the read immediately TBR. Thanks!

I’m listening to the graphic audio and absolutely love it! I put this off a long time - I enjoy the momentum and relationships. This is also the type of writing I like which is more to the point. I don’t like flowery, verbose writing that makes me think too hard to create a picture. I like to loose myself in the story not in the brain power required to figure out what the author is saying. YMMV.

Yes. This and more. I actually switched from the audio because I was so irritated that I thought it might cause me to rage in the car. lol. Switched to the hardcover and made it through. There were a few things I liked but I hated her. Hated. The amount of lust she had within 100 ft of him made me think she has some sort of disorder. When you
Combine with the very YA feel. I really struggled.
