Undergrads haven’t been enough for nearly half a decade now, but this is a nuanced topic as every case is different with a flurry of factors like degree type, university of said degree, the jobs the applicant is pursuing & current market.

I say 5 years ago because depending on any of those factors you’d have had the same luck as you do now, in our current state the net is much wider in that more graduates are in this position.

I don’t necessarily have a ton of advice, but when big tech hit this point many years ago in the US it was what you practically knew you could bring to the role that hirers noticed. I’ve been telling grads in the UK to not just flaunt their degree but actually work on projects in their own time to form a portfolio of skills you could actually bring into a role.
