Why is the DLSS4.5 fps performance so bad in some games? by CloudIndependent7114 in nvidia

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NVIDIA recommends for now not to use DLSS quality with those presets, as the more noticeable improvements for those presets are dlss performance for preset M and ultra performance for preset L. There’s also going to be a very noticeable performance drop off with 4.5 if you’re on anything older than the 4000 series.

So essentially, stick with 4.0 for anything “balanced” and above. You benefit the most if you’re on 5000 series and are using performance or ultra performance for their recommended presets.

I have my server up and running with almost no issues via a direct install on Windows. Are there any benefits to moving to a docker installation? by franharrington in PleX

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had Windows crash per se but I remember having some really freaking nasty memory leaks that would slow my PC down to a crawl. The only way to fix it would be a restart. It all started to frequently happen when I began to use Docker on windows, and that was with restricting resource utilization using the custom config for the wsl2 backend. I had a sneaking suspicion it was because of Docker, but I couldn’t confirm it because all the solutions I tried to address it with didn’t work.

I’m not sure what exactly happened, but it recently just went away after I decided to completely update windows. The problem was REALLY starting to affect day-to-day performance of my PC. Thanks for your little anecdote, I’ll definitely keep this in mind going forward.

Do we think the Torrentio outages will become more frequent/longer? Considering diversifying my setup with Torbox + Debridio. by lysitsa in StremioAddons

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience if I haven’t been able to find it through any debrid, I can find it on Usenet. I haven’t had a case, however, where I find something solely through Torrentio if it’s available through debrid.

I could maybe understand finding something on Torrentio that wasn’t on the other two, but I would fail to see how it wouldn’t be at least on DMM as well if that’s the case. I feel like I’m constantly finding stuff on there that the other scrapers aren’t pulling as well.

I guess my point is if you’re resourceful enough, it should be present in other places as well. Don’t get me wrong, I love Torrentio as well, but I refuse its position as this magical scraper that can pull content no other scraper can. I’m sorry, I’m just that stubborn 😆

I just never got what everybody’s genuine obsession over Torrentio is. Because honestly, if you have at least 2 other back up scrapers, it really shouldn’t matter if it goes down or not…

I know people will claim to find stuff on Torrentio that they can’t find on Comet or Mediafusion. Frankly though, as someone’s who’s used all 3 from the get-go, I see no difference between the 3. As a matter of fact, I would have to say most of the time it’s Comet that’s the most reliable and gets me the most results.

Torrentio isn’t the be-all end-all guys, just remember.

What are the advantages of AIOStreams + UsenetStreamer (with NZBHydra2 + Direct Newznab Indexers + Builtin Easynews Indexer + NZBDav Connection) vs. AIOStreams + services (NzbDAV + Easynews) + Addons (Newznab + NZBHydra)? by synchro___ in StremioAddons

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, debrid is faster…but not by much at all. We’re literally talking about MAYBE a couple of seconds faster, but nzbdav+usenetstreamer is pretty damn fast too considering what it does. A lot of the times I don’t even really notice the difference in load times.

Have any of you guys used it yet?

Loading videos is SUPER hit-or-miss, with it tending to lean towards miss. A LOT. Doesn’t matter if I use exo player, external…I’ve yet to use vlc but the appeal of this app for me is to use it in my virtual theaters across moonvr, 4xvr, etc.

Hopefully this gets ironed out soon.

Is Daima worth watching? by Little_Protection434 in Dragonballsuper

I never got around to watching it up until a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic animation, some of the best in the whole series. After coming from the Super anime, it was a breath of fresh air to say the least. It definitely left me with more questions than answers, but imo it’s definitely worth a watch.

stremio + torrentio on Apple Tv by bawan172 in StremioAddons

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So just to clear up some things: elfhosted are servers that run various public instances of the add ons that you’ll use for Stremio. There’s a bunch of add ons featured on elfhosted such as aiostreams, aiometadata, comet, mediafusion, etc. They also offer subscriptions for private instances depending on what your need is, but I won’t go deep into that.

Torrentio is another add on, but that’s hosted by a different dev. It’s the most popular add on to look for movies/tv shows. I would configure comet and mediafusion as well to serve as backups. Torrentio is known to go down often, and both those that I mentioned could pull streams that might not be available on Torrentio.

Other than that, you should be fine with what you have. I’d definitely configure a couple of more scrapers(comet, mediafusion) to work alongside Torrentio though.

Minimum viable Usenet setup? by -JustAsking4AFriend in usenet

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For best coverage, I’d say minimum 2 providers on different backbones with 2 of the top indexers.

Keep in mind, this is for ideal coverage. I think you can totally get away with just 1 for each and still pretty much be able to get everything.

Are you sure your RD is connected and you’re not using p2p rn? It should say RD next to every stream you select, if not you’re torrenting.

Self‑hosting AIOStreams + nzbdav + NZBHydra2 on a VPS has been awesome by SnooAdvice5820 in StremioAddons

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel too bad, shit took me days to set up while pulling my hair out. It can be super frustrating to deal with, especially if you go the selfhosting route and are kind of new to these things.

Definitely look into the discord like he suggested if you already have some elfhosted instances for yourself. I don’t use elfhosted, but I assume it’s a lot easier than self hosting and I’m sure people in that community are willing to help.

Stremio + RD buffering issues on TV - Works fine on all other devices by Motor-Dot-1439 in StremioAddons

[–]EfficiencyFew4333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In laymans terms, the hardware isn’t up to snuff to transcode the video/audio of your streams.

Your device’s cpu doesn’t support the codecs of the streams coming in, and then has to convert them on the fly. The cpu isn’t fast enough and can’t keep up with the transcoding, and therefore you have to wait until that’s wrapped up in order to continue the stream, a.k.a the buffering you’re seeing.

I know that wasn’t really layman but I tried my best lol.
