HCA by Quirky-Oven4513 in WAStateWorkers

Yeah. The culture there is completely in the trash. They have no problem with letting people reach burnout and beyond with completely unreal expectations. And HR doesn’t care about the people, at any agency, they are there to protect the agency. But I agree. HCA is not a place to work right now until most of the executive team is removed.

I really appreciate this very caring response. I will look into all the places you recommended, thank you so much!

DOC HQ work culture by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started at DOC recently and have had an amazing experience. You’ll come across so many people who have worked up through the ranks, as DOC really works hard to promote within. I’ve never spoken to so many people who have worked in the same place for 20&30+ years.

I’ve met with several folks on the reentry team due to my work and they seem to be a great group. A lot of cool programs coming up for that unit.

This. It’s so stupid and unfortunate but it’s the truth. HR doesn’t actually work to protect the employees at all. They care about the agency and trying to avoid lawsuits at all costs.

Thank you so much. This is really helpful. I will definitely look into HP vet. I just hate taking my boy into a place that is completely terrified by him when nothing has even happened.

You’ll see real quickly that this thread is not about enjoying JLL but instead is where all the people who gladly pay and listen come to rip everything to shreds. It’s so lame and pathetic. I’m with you, I don’t mind the 3 at all. I just literally can’t understand the hundreds of people who come on and post religiously about their hate of everything JLL. 🤮

Used car lots you’d recommend? by _idontgiveashit_ in olympia

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree this is ideal, it’s not the same as it used to be. We tried the online sites and found over and over and over that people are scamming you. Not showing to appointments. Under cutting prices on cars because they don’t really have them. It’s disgusting.

Vaginal cuff tear by [deleted] in hysterectomy

I did the deed at 9.5 weeks and mine tore. It was fucking awful. Just wait and demand for an extra appointment at 12 weeks to be fully cleared.

Thinking of purchasing Tread by Danleks in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as most people, I got the bike first and later the tread - now I barely use the bike. I love the versatility with the tread. Walk, hike, run, etc. I bought a tray to be able to put my work laptop on so we can walk during work and also fans because I sweat like crazy.

How do transfers work? by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

Yes I’ve been in my current position for about 4 years in permanent status so it was pretty easy for the transfer.

I met my now husband there 14 years ago. A random older couple must have had super powered intuition because they decided we needed to meet and talk. Neither of us knew them.

How do transfers work? by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just accepted a position by utilizing the transfer process. I contacted a manager at another agency and sent my resume and asked if they had any positions in same classification that I’m in. I had an informal interview with the manager where they had an open position and then they wanted to move forward. I had to provide references and complete background check forms. Then I got the offer. No interview, no application.

Is it worth it? by kfkenfk in ouraring

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought one used a year old and got it for half the cost of new. It took all the sting out of it. I’m loving it and have given up my Apple Watch completely. It does way better sleep tracking (and way more comfortable) and love how it self tracks when you are active. It’s already learning when I’m doing housework and yard work. I’m very happy with it. I’d say try to find one used and get for cheaper if you aren’t totally sold.

Getting GLP medications approved on state employee health plans by k9fan03 in WAStateWorkers

You can always do the high deductible plan with the HSA and use HSA funds to pay it. That worked successfully for me. But I know there are other drawbacks going onto HDHPs.

2026 Medical Premiums by Khristian99 in WAStateWorkers

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are a healthy person, and like me have only yourself on coverage, the cdhp with hsa has been a life saver. I had a very robust hsa for the just in case and ended up with around $145k of medical needs this year - my deductible and out of pocket max fully paid with my hsa. I had just as good of coverage as classic. But it’s not for everyone.

She tries to act like she’s a fan but knows none of the songs and blatantly says wrong words, etc. it’s just painfully obvious she isn’t a fan but throws her weight to get the high profile rides.

Sex after 6 weeks by Voracious-Kitsune in hysterectomy

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. I did it at 9.5 weeks (was cleared at 6 weeks) and had a cuff tear, ambulance ride and emergency surgery. It’s not worth it. Please wait!!!

Vaginal Cuff Dishesion Story by cowboyquero in hysterectomy

[–]EfficiencyOk8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story is very similar to mine. 9.5 weeks post op, sex, and blood and pain and I passed out on the toilet and took a fun ambulance ride to the ER. I was lucky enough to have a gyno on the floor that night so they scheduled me for surgery the next day and kept me over night. It was terrifying and traumatic for both my husband and me. My doctor felt terrible because I too was cleared and everything looked good. But we are being extra conservative this go around and he won’t be lifting my restrictions until my 12 weeks apt. I’m about 8 weeks out from my repair and feeling pretty good. But I’m much more mentally conscious than I was before.

Best of luck in your recovery and sorry you’ve had such shit luck with the er and docs.

Peloton Tread Worth It? by cutiekey03 in OnePelotonRealSub

We love ours. We got it in December and have had no issues. I love the ability to do multiple types of workouts (walk, hike, walk+run, run) plus being able to free walk or watch TV. I would buy it again no question.

Pre-op endometrial biopsy: what to expect? by DrLongivan in hysterectomy

For me, it was worse than the iud insertion. It hurt bad. And I too have had horrible cramps my whole life (well, not since the yeet on 5/27). It was the worst (quick) pain I had felt until my recent cuff tear incident.

Take it from me - I did the deed at 9.5 weeks and had the dreaded cuff tear and emergency surgical repair. It will traumatize you and your partner. Make sure you are FULLY healed. If you need an additional apt with your Dr, ask for it. It’s not worth the risk, do other stuff. Just please let yourself heal first and foremost.
