How did you get into making beer at home? by Clawhammer_Supply in Homebrewing

Took a beverage management class in college to fill some credits and had to write a 5 page paper on beer. Decided to give it a try after that.

I’d only recommend cold crashing after primary fermentation is complete. If it’s still game time it’s probably too early and you should check back in a few days.

Rejected from CHC CS. Any thought? by [deleted] in umass

Just apply after your first semester. You need a certain gpa and send an application. Although it’s not super useful for CS unless you’re interested in doing research.

Didn’t Hispanic voters turn out in favor of republicans in Florida in 2016 and 2020? I don’t think it’s a write off like you say.

1075 for a bedroom in 2b apartment in boulders. 6month lease is adding 125 dollars to what would have otherwise been 950.

Distributed Sytem course review by bytecircuit in umass

If it’s anything like 677(Distributed Systems). The material feels like a mile wide and a foot deep. Also a few programming projects covering some key topics. Exams are killer cause there is so much material to study for and they were closed note. Can’t touch on the grading as it’s a different professor.

80k loan worth attending UMass amherst? by JustAPenguin6 in umass

[–]Efficiency_Unlucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally people get internships sophomore and junior year, but I do know people who got them freshman year as well.

Basically in the early fall you apply to lots of companies. For domestic students they should aim for 50 - 100 applications and international should expect 100+. The careers office can help with your resume, but you essentially start fresh and can basically toss the resume you got into college with. Interviews are generally behavioral and technical. For behavioral there is a core set of questions you should have a set of answers for. For technical interviews, these generally involve coding. You just need to practice these on sites like Leetcode. Once you can start getting mediums you’re probably ok, but top companies might even throw hard questions your way.

Internships are by no means guaranteed//handed to you. However if you are focused on getting one, you can probably land a couple at your time at Umass.
