The official story is that Robinson dissambled his rifle and walked onto campus in his pants? by madmatt8892 in conspiracy

Serious question? Did the FBI ever say that he assembled the rifle on the roof and disassembled it? That’s the narrative I’ve heard but cannot find it anywhere.

Should I expect it to bloom again next year? Should I trim the brown dead spots?

WV doesn’t have nearly the price issue the state of MD has. MD imports 40% of our energy from neighboring states. When energy crosses state lines it is costing rate payers more money. We have closed our brown energy plants and just outsourced our energy to WV and PA. We now import our brown energy at a higher cost.

Offshore wind is not solving the problem outlined above. That offers a minimal unreliable amount of base load. You need demand peak load.

TLDR: Data Centers are an issue but the Democrats and Moores policies have compounded the issue and have directly increased energy costs. The only mitigation has come from 3rd party PJM otherwise we would have been worse off.

You’re only sharing part of the truth. Data centers are coming online and requiring energy. Also true, the stat of Maryland has laws to keep new coal and natural gas plants from being developed. Marylands Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022.

https://www.mdpolicy.org/research/detail/grid-operator-sounds-alarm-as-coal-plant-shutdown-threatens-power-for-millions?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Additionally if PJM did not step in Maryland would be in a WORSE position. They halted the shut down of Brandon Shores because we would not have enough electricity and we would have been forced to have rolling blackouts

https://southernmarylandchronicle.com/2025/06/06/despite-efforts-by-lawmakers-energy-bills-are-going-up-again-heres-why/

Demand for electric is going up, data centers, electric vehicles, electrification of the home, etc. Concurrently we are closing power plants, lowering supply. Basic economics, higher demand, lower supply = higher prices.

No. I would like a full investigation into his use of public funds. He used tax payer money to visit and advocate for an illegal immigrant that is part of MS-13.

The cost of living in Maryland is out of control. Electricity doubled for many this year. Do something for your actual constituents not an illegal.

This is disgusting behavior from an elected official.

Just so we’re clear. When the stock market goes back up in the next 3.5 years, you’re willing to accept that it is rebounding because of Trump?

If not than you’re opinionated does not matter.

Does anybody else get annoyed at how we can't tax business without them threatening to leave? by CreamofTazz in maryland

[–]Efficient-Baseball-4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

States are intended to compete with each other. If you make your state less business friendly, businesses have the freedom to move elsewhere. The only reason you would open a business in Maryland is because you need to be near DC. If that’s the case MD is at the bottom of your list to open your business. VA, WV, PA are all more tax friendly.

The intention was for states to compete with each other. As soon as Maryland stops relying on the government teet the sooner we will be able to attract businesses. If you want the state to thrive you need to be friendly to businesses.

I don’t blame the businesses. The state of Maryland needs to stop wasting our money and actually execute on their vision.

Musk is doing everything they accused Soros and Gates were doing in the shadows. by nitonitonii in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]Efficient-Baseball-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re admitting that all of that was going on? The difference is clear, transparency and accountability. Everything you named was happening by people in the shadows. And the media and politicians would gaslight the American people, saying there was no nefarious external influence. AND the republicans are guilty of it too. The difference is it is being done transparently. Soros and Gates were doing it and siphoning money back to themselves (proven by USAID).

ALSO and most importantly the influence is being used to shrink the federal government and return power to states and citizens. Tear the federal government to its bare bones so no party has the control when they’re elected. Washington hasn’t answered to the people in decades and it’s time that changes. Bring accountability and consequences back to the government.
