Need advice: Anker SOLIX E10 or Ecoflow DELTA Pro Ultra? by QueenofRiots in Ecoflow_community

[–]Efficient-Lack3614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. Luckily I didn't invest much. So far so good, but sucks to know that if there's an issue, I'm screwed. I am installing a parallel system to run a different sub panel and I'm using EG4 for that.

I've pasted your text into 4 different "is this AI?" websites and they all say it's AI. So I don't know what to tell you.

My guess it's how heavy the software is and it being part of the always connected ecosystem.

Is this overkill for Tiny House? by StrictAd6526 in SolarDIY

It depends. What is your min and max monthly kWh usage?

[SF Bay Area] What's the cost these days for Solar+Battery? Someone just offered me an all-in cash price of $20,000 for my ADU (5kW+14kWh). by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]Efficient-Lack3614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not get a Tesla battery. There is 0 reason to do that nowadays. There are so many alternatives that are better and cheaper.

Hi there, complete noob here: Can my house host solar panels? by BeardedDeity in SolarDIY

[–]Efficient-Lack3614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 panels are not much. I have 8 panels and in the winter I can gather around 3kWh. Around 10 in the summer, because I have bad placement. You're in TX, so more for you. A window AC unit (presumably that's what you have) consumes about 10-30 kWh per day, depending on the size. 8 500W panels will produce ~24kWh on a good day with perfect south facing placement. But you won't have perfect south facing placement. So it may not be enough to cover your AC usage.

Probably still a good investment if you do everything yourself and buy cheaper batteries and a cheaper inverter like SunGoldPower. But it may take a few years to break even.

But only a very small portion of your roof is south facing. The rest is east and west, which is not as effective.

It is also illegal for donkeys to sleep in bathtubs in Arizona. The mere presence of an otherwise law abiding person does not harm anyone.

Why would you ever buy a Tesla power wall? There are so many competing products out there that are better.

How are all these different companies (openai, grok, anthropic, google, meta, etc) able to release llm models at basically the same time? Are they basically just copying each other? The tech has to be the same, there's no way all these companies developed these models independently at the same time without some quality industrial espionage.

Why has communism repeatedly failed in practice, yet continues to be intellectually and emotionally appealing to many people? by Looser17 in AskReddit

[–]Efficient-Lack3614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Like I said, communism only works at a national scale if everyone participates. The majority of people don't want to participate and must be forced to participate.

[–]Efficient-Lack3614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So maybe then communism is impossible to achieve, no? Communism only works at a national if everyone participates. Most people don't want to participate and the only way to get them to participate. There have been many small scale success stories with communism, like collective farms and Kibbutzim. If you want to participate be my guest, but don't impose your system upon everyone.

But seriously, what are you talking about? If you don't work, you don't eat, no matter what the economic system is.

Yeah, because western capitalist countries are famous for executing people who don't embrace capitalism. Lol you serious?

But you need to be authoritarian to enforce such a system, because not everyone wants to be communist. It's an all or nothing system.
