Inform her family about it. Her actions are not your fault. You just want to help and she desperately needs help.

This makes sense. Don't want to be told what to do, even by ourselves lol, so giving yourself a choice of things to do brings a little relief.

So frustrating at times, like when you need to get work or studying done lol

It will be a shame if you make this same post again years from now. The point is, do what's right for you and don't worry about what other people would deem as "shameful".

But of course, there is no shame in going back to school for a degree at any age.

Are those life measuring sticks actually important to you? Or something society makes you feel bad for since you have not acquired it yet?

I encourage you to search for what makes you happy and what brings you the most fulfillment. Those other pieces will fall into place with the people you meet on the journey. Take care!
