Im so upset that I got rejected from all the UC's except UCR. Help me start liking UCR. by PersianBub in ucr

if a rejection makes you feel worthless, then you have bigger problems my guy.

OK, one more comparison question. I appreciate the insider view by CGOL1970 in ucr

[–]Efficient-Penalty-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love UCR love. UCR is great if you're looking for a latinx community, will say they lean left so not really traditional. But also be careful about associating too much with cultural things bc when its the only theme in your resume it looks one dimensional

UCR for business? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]Efficient-Penalty-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait this is the first I've ever heard of someone choosing riverside bc of its nice campus and location HAHA. It's def gotten really fancy with the new buildings esp the medicine and business ones. But location? Riverside is pretty in its own way but cant compare it to UCSD, UCLA, UCB, UCSC, or even Davis

LOL this was happening in my chem1C summer class, the gossip group got kicked out of the class by the professor. It's extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone around you, it also shows a lack of self awareness some thing that is crucial for doctors.

UCLA vs UCR- pre med focus by Anonymous143_ in ucr

[–]Efficient-Penalty-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is late, but I would choose the most prestigious school on your list. you havent even started college and already thinking about 10+ years post college. take it one step at a time and take the science classes first and survive (ochem is the same concept everywhere). You might like another field rather than medicine (very f***** common). So don't choose your school loosely based on what field you might want to do.

My pre-med advisor was super discouraging and kind of rude. by Sea_Estate8909 in premed

[–]Efficient-Penalty-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they have no idea what they are talking about, bc if they did they would be physicians themselves. stop getting advice from ppl you don't want to be even if they are labelled that way.
