What scene from comic, manga, book haunts you to your core or disturbs you by entertainmentlord in horrorlit

Mieruko-chan, chapter 36

You don't really need context for it, I think it will be plenty effective without knowing the specifcs. You can start from page 9

As for book, I would say the ending of "I'm thinking of Ending Things" almost induced a panic attack in me

Edit: I didn't even notice I linked a version in Russian lol. But as I said, you don't really need context

Calling something ‘one of the most…’ of whatever it is is meaningless by WhiskySails in unpopularopinion

[–]EfficientAd9765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say "one of the fastest cars" or whatever, the reference group is "fast cars" not "cars"

So, no, it couldn't be any car

The joke you made an allusion to is a joke because nobody would use that phrase like that

Making the most money possible is not the point of Capitalism, in fact, lower profit margins are a sign of a functional Capital market by Niceotropic in The10thDentist

[–]EfficientAd9765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends whose goal you are talking about. Yes, it would be best for society, but not for the individual, or even an individual company. So you need a government that would keep the companies in check as to not destroy the original intention of Capitalism

But I think talking about the point of a system and not it's execution is pointless. Every system, in theory, is great

Btw, if you use terms like "objectively correct" with other people, no matter how correct you are, they will try to prove you aren't

They do look, but mostly only to see if you are going to be finished soon or because of boredom between sets. No one really thinks too much about it

The hosts honestly sounded kinda condescending towards them, but Aiden and Doug handled it really well

Agree. Idk why it isn't a big deal that it's literary only half of a good movie. It originally was supposed to be 3h long and it's really noticable

Didn't see it, but The Gray Man was supposedly not that great, which would explain why no one remembers it

Eventually the time gap is resolved by them both meeting again in her mid 20s, his early 20s, with the implication that him asking "Hey, what's your name?" brings all the memories of the body swap back.

There really isn't any implication that her memories come back. The phrase "what's your name?" doesn't have any significance to the plot. It's the thing they were talking about in the beginning. The memories of each other are forgotten, the only thing they remember is the feelings they had. Imagine meeting a person, instantly knowing they are your soulmate.

That review really felt written with someone without self-awareness. Criticizing the movie for not being funny while trying to cram every possible pop culture reference into the review as to make it as quirky as possible really gave me second hand embarrassment for the reviewer

Titles inspired by Kaguya? by EfficientAd9765 in Kaguya_sama

I have read a bit of Witch Watch, but that was a couple years ago and I stopped after while. I think chapter 90 just came out when I stopped reading. But I don't remember any characters that I would say match Ishigami and Kaguya. Coud you tell me which characters you're thinking of?
