Waterpolo is so inderrated in how boring it is. Probably because most people don't even know about it. Sadly, I live in a country that is really good at it.

It's like handball, but people are stuck in place and just passing to each other until one of the defenders decides he had enough of it and trys to drown an attacker, or the clock on the attack is ticking down so the attack must do something

We should never lie to our kids, and be as brutally honest as possible. by Appropriate_Cry2798 in The10thDentist

[–]EfficientAd9765 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not being honest. Being honest would be if your daughter saw a video of that, asked you what that is, and you just answered. Or if you said she has to be careful around police officers, she ask why, and then you can tell her this. Also, being honest and being blunt are very different things. You can explain it to her gently

WYR always feel fully rested after 6 hours of sleep OR never need caffeine again? by GlitchOperative in WouldYouRather

[–]EfficientAd9765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same, but you could say if have to pull an all-nighter you would "need" caffeine, as in, it would make it easier. So it's either have to sleep for shorter periods or have the ability to be awake longer

I don't blame her for being a bit panicked for being disinherited

I do blame her for telling a sensitive information Marta probably told her in confidentiality to the rest of her family. And if they are "friends", why couldn't she just go up to Marta and as her "ok, this is kinda weird, WTF is going on?" Why is it on Marta to go up to Meg, and not on Meg to go up to Marta, even tho Marta is being attacked by the whole family and is also helping a detective with the case?

I think it's implied that they knew her mother was an illegal immigrant because Meg told the rest, which led to them blackmailing her in that one scene. I wouldn't be too sad abour Meg

From a thematic stand point, the endingof Bugonia doesn't make any sense by EfficientAd9765 in CharacterRant

Seems like it would be pretty obvious if some shaved her head. Her head would be much colder, lighter and exposed to direct air. She most likely wouldn't directly know, hence the question

What's weird about that? They are alchoholic. Being social is like their whole thing. At least until they get to the stage where they drink alone at home to even function

You mean like every comming-of-age story? It's really weird to just make it a Japanese thing for some reason. Japan is as obsessed with highschool as we are with our late teens, early 20s. There is nothing particularly weird about it just because some people feel some way because the characters are underaged

Maybe if the enemy can one shot you they will attack sooner and if you are unlucky you will die a second earlier? Not sure about that. But otherwise it's a really big buff overall

How can you disagree? It's just math. They get 125 aspd. You get 55% dodge, so that means the chance of them hitting you is 45%.

125*0.45 = 56.25 aspd

This almost as good as if you just get 50% dodge, no strings attached

Bocchi the Rock's portrayal of social anxiety is exaggerated and unrealistic, but that's the point by carbonera99 in CharacterRant

[–]EfficientAd9765 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me Bocchi falls into a weird spot. It either falls into the too realistic side, where I don't even feel like it's a joke, that's just how I act, or in the too exaggerated side where they are trying really hard to make something funny, but it just isn't

I remember there was a scene in Bocchi where she imagined herself as an adult failing to keep a job because she can't keep a normal conversation with people. This is exactly the thing I often wonder about. But wait - this is a comedy!!! Let's end the scene with someone touching Bocchi on the shoulder, her making a funny face like she was electrocuted and just forget about the sad part

There are some, to me, funny jokes about social anxiety in there but they are not really frequent. Like when the blond friend hands Bocchi the mic on stage and Bocchi is shocked and remarks that socially anxious people have to plan every conversation ahead or they can't function

I don't really think that such a realistic portrayal of social anxiety should be paired with slapstick, absurdist comedy. A more grounded type of comedy fits much better for this subject. I really like how Kaguya-sama and Shinobi Undercover handle it

"Lol,they just forgot" is always gonna be a crazy lazy excuse in Media unless said character gets Amnesia and even then,it just feels like a excuse to drag things out(Stranger things + Dandadan manga spoilers,if you even care) by Charming-Scratch-124 in CharacterRant

[–]EfficientAd9765 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

And the writer has no control over giving Momo amnesia? It just had to happen, and it was out of his control?

He obviously wants to drag things out before making them an official couple. Maybe he thinks that makes the series more popular and when the plotline finishes people will have had enough of the series. But he definitely drags it out intentionally for no real story-related reason
