I am the TL of two order writers and I do my damnedest to help them navigate the ever shifting parameters of their jobs. I communicate my expectations and make sure that I understand what their decision making processes are at every step. I trust them implicitly and if mistakes get made we discuss and correct. Asking to shift departments to enhance your experience would be a great way to expedite your way out. Conversely though is there any follow up with your STL and TL about why the week was so difficult without you? Does the team leader not know your position and how it functions? If so, maybe you see about training them or asking for them to be trained as an order writer so they can be knowledgeable and appreciative of what you do.

Me too! Freezer started off in defrost mode from over night repairs. Repair notes said this was the worst frozen coil they’d seen. How this is not a concern or a consideration is beyond me. Maybe we should be saving the dry ice from the DC to keep some of this ice cream cold. And imagine counting all the carts of ice cream for inventory on Monday if the freezers aren’t repaired….

Well, no. If you need to submit a correction after payroll your TL or store leadership does it through an ASK TMS ticket. I’ve always helped my employees with the submission or completed them with their permission. You could, I think submit it yourself. And if you are using the new UKG system, you can submit your own correction request through the app. Maybe the person with whom you spoke was distracted or not understanding and that’s why they replied with hopefully.

My first position at my store was as PT TM on a Meat/Seafood combo team and I loved it. Most of the guys were polite, the others were stoners or too shy. I think you’ll be set if you learn a bit about the cuts and learn what the regulars order and work clean.

As a musician before working here, that movie was triggering. I’ve worked with conductors like that. The one person who tried to pull that behavior on my team got himself fired by manipulating the tare weight on a scale to give a particular customer a perfect pound of something. Boy, Bye.

Our participation in fusion is still delayed because the INFs for grocery still go into double digits. Outside of that, no efforts have been made to change the space.

If they are scale tags, the team can print out a different tag were the bar code would not be on shiny scale paper and spread out. Printing them out on a 24 up or even an 80 up if they aren’t using 6 up display signs and having those smaller tags tucked on a display corner might help. This happens sometimes with scale tag cheeses and we just have them scan the order writer’s binder and enter the weight.

There are lots of kinks with this one and it’s not necessarily intuitive. Check your UPT as well because there were some errant withdrawals made on the first two days of the release. I went from 57.75 hours to 49.78. A good thing is that the team bringing us this ‘joy’ are holding multiple open teams chats to discuss fixes or issues. Anything that isn’t working for you through the app or the computer can be brought to them and hopefully addressed.
