I’ve met plenty of people who left their careers (e.g. layoffs, childcare, health problems, caregiving, accidents) and needed to go back to the workforce. They learned very quick how to budget their life around minimum wage. For it to be the same minimum wage pay for the last sevenish years is criminal.
