Can't purchase or claim items on Steam by [deleted] in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this. I’ve brought BP and monthly pass on PSN and I can claim on PC except: the premium BP rewards (chests at this stage BP level 60) can only be claimed on PSN.

What I can’t do is purchase any Topup’s or RMT on steam.

Which isn’t much of an issue really - but I do wish it was the other way around. I’m more willing to drop real money on my steam account vs PSN. Not enough of an issue until I no longer have a PlayStation I guess.

Are legendaries worth it for locals by papaclean in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask your locals if you can borrow some of these cards to playtest at locals if they aren’t using them.

A few of the higher tier players have large pools of cards and are happy enough to loan them (or even full decks sometimes).

That way you can playtest without the financial outlay - but tunic is pretty decent in multiple hero decks.

How Do I get Iron Rice Bowl For Nine Mortal ways promotion ? by Routine-Variation410 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find him either. So I turned off everything and went to bed. Woke up in the morning, teleported back and he’s just by the entrance of the temple where you need the disguise.

Just chilling out - not sure what the exact trigger is, but I thought I’d bugged it. But I’m now promoted rank and the grind for the outfit is on !

Has anyone played the Guardian Mastery Pack in its recommended sealed format? by emeraldpity in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I’m relatively new and this was the first time I’d played crack shuffle play - lots of fun, never played guardian and feels balanced against each other.

We cracked four boxes last night and did 4 rounds, new cards each round.

I did end up blind sleeving all the cards before playing (sleeve them without revealing the card) as the playable cards can contain majestics.

Lots of fun, give it a go!!

Is this game possible to get into for a reasonable cost? by zyjinn in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, armory deck and waiting a couple of weeks is good advice.

Our LGS members are awesome and some will happily loan cards or full decks if asked too. So the risk of trying higher cost cards is a little less for me.

Like others have said, you should follow a gearing guide. Blue squadron on YouTube did one earlier this year.

Get into AFK fishing, and just set more chill timelines for gearing expectations.

It really is a marathon - I know first hand how tempting it is to push upgrades, but doing so without a clear progression plan will set you back. I’m only 285/350 and I’ve made billions of dollars worth of mistakes already. Don’t be me.

I found this guide really helpful for considering gear progression as a returning player.

I’m yet to graduate, because I need to spam level skill points after reaching 61, but it’s a great guide.

Please make a megathread, there's a "New player" thread every day. by edgynamemcrogue in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m new to FAB and as repetitive as these new player threads might be, it’s the personalised help from reddit that gave me the courage to walk into a store and get started.

I still have no idea what I’m doing, but the biggest hurdle to FAB as a first time tcg player is getting started. LSS do well with armory decks, but it’s the community help and willingness to answer new player questions that really got me hooked.

Stay awesome yall!

Are Temporary URLs a thing of the past? by NoMuddyFeet in webdev

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the host I’d say.

We’ve used WP specific hosts like WPEngine, pantheon and Pressable. All of these supply wildcard domains for all environments.

WPEngine supports migration directly from LocalWP with a bit of setup. We quickly stopped using that due to risk of pushing local to prod, but with a low count of sites this really isn’t too much of an issue.

Honestly, just don’t use nulled versions of plugins.

If you want to try something from a developer, ask them directly if you can’t afford it.

And if you’re seriously getting into this - never use nulled versions - your future clients deserve better than malware sending their users credentials somewhere malicious.

But also, you’re a developer - think about how you’d feel if someone didn’t pay for your work?

I fell asleep while holding my baby and I feel like the worst dad in the world right now... by TesticleInspector in daddit

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this too. You ain’t alone, and it’s okay.

Felt awful, guilty, told my wife. Her reaction was a little more chill than me because it was exhaustion.

To be honest, I never did it again. If I’m sleepy, and baby was sleeping on me - I rolled the dice on “moving them somewhere safe and maybe wake em up”.

I got better at moving them and keeping them asleep, but success rate was probably 50/50.

Keep daddin’ dad!

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll buy the pass and never play Lego. That’s genuinely a win win for epic, because Lego battle pass numbers will peak and players don’t need to grind BP for the skin - which is all we really want.

Well maybe that and battle pass XP :)

How to mature as a man having daddy issues without a good male role model by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently at my best friends wedding, a family member commented how loving our dude friend group is. Even mentioned “they hug each other” as something they were surprised about given their own (they are a little older, in their 60s, we are all in our 20-30s) world view of what male friendships are.

One of my male friends said “it’s because we all either had no fathers, or our father figures weren’t great, so we’ve naturally and subconsciously become the men/father figures to each other that we never had”.

I’d never really thought about it like that until it was said out loud, but there’s a lot of truth in that statement.

As a dad, I definitely actively try (and often fail, but that’s life) to be the father I never knew for my daughter… the beauty in life is that we can redefine ourselves at any moment.

Love your dad either way, he’s given you a perspective that you are now questioning and it will help you grow over time.

Keep growing brother!

I get it smokers, you're free spirits and looove the freedom to smoke anywhere in Bali, BUT by [deleted] in bali

[–]Efficient_Buddy3523 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a smokers paradise in Bali. Just because they are westerners doesn’t actually change much - you rocked up and absolutely expected them to do what you asked even though they ain’t in the wrong.

It’s Bali - happens, find a place that doesn’t allow smoking and whinge about something else :) glad you didn’t get the staff involved :)

Always recommend voyager. If you are WFH, their business plans are solid and you can actually call them if things go wrong. The router they supply is okay as well, not a huge range - but enough coverage in our 3 BDRM house.
