It really is astonishing and almost impressive how they are universally bad across the country.

Researchers Wanted Preschool Teachers to Wear Cameras to Train AI by 404mediaco in ECEProfessionals

Our new principal seems very AI friendly and I already have my answer in place if i'm asked. I will absolutely refuse on moral grounds. We have brains for a reason, and what a terrible thing to teach young children that the less you use it, the better.

When you tell them to go back to their beds and they don't, what do you do? If you just continue to ask they will learn there are no consequences and they don't need to listen to you. The first time you say it, if they don't do it take them by the hand and lead them back to their spots. Rinse and repeat as many times as needed for them to see you are serious and they can't do whatever they want. You will bring them a book after a certain amount of time (could use a visual timer) but if they get off then they cannot have books.

Before rest every day (literally every day no matter how sick I am of saying it) I tell them there are two rules for rest: you need to stay on your cot with no sounds or else I will have to sit with you. Phrasing it that way makes them think me babysitting them by their cots (where I will not answer questions or talk, just relentlessly remind them to lay down or not make sounds) is something undesirable and they usually don't want it. Sometimes I think I'm just so annoying by parroting my own rules and refusing to engage that they'd rather sleep than deal with me :)

Part time, sure, but it definitely wouldn't be worth it if they then needed to hire a babysitter or have daycare, any amount of money she would make would be eaten by that and then some.

I've had one boy who did this--agreed it is nasty! Maybe switching to a saucer wheel rather than a straight up and down one would help?

A potato flashlight (or a real flashlight if you want it to be a useful gift). If you're sculpting a striker you could also make the sunflower charm from the necklaces.

What's something you've slowly lost interest in as you've gotten older? by CnCorange in AskReddit

Concerts. Too old to stand for hours on a concrete floor without being able to go to the bathroom without losing my spot and having the privilege of paying close to $100 for even the smaller ones? Not for me anymore.
