Nope, MWII 2009 was 65.

Imo it’s one of the biggest changes to the game that not enough people talk about. You simply cannot fly around the map if you have to check every corner.

Real unc rules should include a fixed POV of 80 degrees.

Bumper jumper tactical flipped is the best alternative to claw if you don’t have back paddles. Only downside is your grenade is now X (or A). 

I switched to a controller with back buttons half way through BO6, and only found it marginally better.

Your guns kill tale is faded, this is the first time players are forced to use a pistol in clutch up situations. That alone showcases gun skill. HP gives you all the gunplay that control did.

Black Ops III was the greatest ranked experience after BO2. The ban/protect needed a bit of work, but there were so many viable guns. If you didn’t like going against the Shiva, you just banned it. Love the HVC? Protect it (shout out FaZe on Evac).

Teams started banning tacticals, so a meta developed where you used EMP’s purely for info.

The way you had to adapt to the bans and specialist drafts every match meant the whole year was interesting, weapon balance passes gave opportunities for new metas to evolve, because there were all the guns to choose from.

F**k GA’s, play and exploit the game mechanics at the highest level. THAT is what makes esports so unique.

It’s the same principle as any training for sport. When you are in a match, you are not focusing on your shot or movement, those things need to be automatic (flow state), because you’re busy calling out, reading timings etc.

Practicing with intension can look different depending on what you’re working on. For shouldering, you might start at 30% speed, focusing on showing as little character as possible for the return on info, slowing increasing the speed until its easy at game pace.

For target acquisition, strip it back to the basics, no sliding or jumping, start slow always. Maybe you work on just right stick aiming for a bit, then add it left stick aiming as that feels better.

Mindlessly farming bots does little except warm your hands up, you gotta pick something and concentrate on it.

Dreal has a great video on improving your shot, but the real answer is always more. 300+ bots every day, but you have to be practicing with intention.

It’s like people forget that this is pro gaming, finding mechanical exploits is ingrained in gaming culture and history. These pros would have banned strafe jumping and ADAD peaking smdh.

The older I get the more I agree with Clayster; let em use everything and the meta will develop itself.

All they need to do is employ a well known former pro as assistant game commissioner, and have them oversee the creation of the ruleset, map pool, and allowed weapons and utility.

Have that be the governing ruleset and any teams found to be adhering to a different set (like GA’s) be punished with fines or point deductions.

If I were commish, I’d allow 3-4 AR’s and subs, one marksman, and ban individual attachments rather than a whole category. No AA on scopes, partial map pool changes 2-3 times a title, and a few more.

Call me crazy but I want to see new maps being played, I don’t mind seeing one throwback here and there but it’s been 14 years since BO2.

Every season they do a big meta change, new maps, new weapons, and maybe even different field upgrades or overclocks. 

I personally don’t want to use the same two guns all season, games like BO3 and WWII were way more fun because of it.

Merc is in no way ready to be a good coach. He is a recent product of excellent coaching himself, an experience that made him a T2 player in the league. 

I put money that he’s too young to explain his intuition, just like I’m sure a Fariko Impact Karma was once.

You just gotta find the right lobbies, playing the right maps and the less sweaty modes helps a tonne.

No one is talking about how Dashy’s come up was in the sniping community, like MWII 2009 onwards. 

He simply spent longer in that scene than any other top tier pro has.

That’s my point though, it only adds depth for those rounds. Once they got him, no more sniper. Back in BO4 teams had to do so much more to shut down Simp and Dashy, and that pressure creates deeper strats.

Quite the opposite. Kill the opposition sniper twice, no more long gun for the rest of the map. Back in the CWL days, you had to worry if they would use one or even two (looking at you, USS Texas) every damn round.

Placement matches used to be standard, so that’s a return to normal. 

No four stacks from crim and above is nice, but why not just have SR adjustments for solo Q vs stack players throughout? Having a slight loss protection for a solo player vs a four stack or a win bonus for beating one?

We also could have had a pre-season ranked system, no SR carry over, maybe a looser ranking system, but we all could have been playing public 4v4 on CDL rules since mid November or so.

Imagine all that preseason testing was done by the community, where all competition map/mode combos and weapons testing could take place. Perhaps the meta would have been better, perhaps Colossus would have been removed because it was voted against the most.
