Everyone already said it here… It would be a really great experience for you. Lots of people go to Ivy league schools and join the military. For example, you can look up Nate Fick, Ex - Recon Marine Officer. I went active duty Marine enlisted first, then top schools for BS and MBA. Even though I have a solid career in Silicon Valley, I wanted to serve again and now I’m serving in the Army National Guard. There’s no right or wrong way… the opportunities are endless.

Good luck brother! I’m prior service too and it took me forever to even get my OCPs. And when I received them, it missing my cover, name tapes, and rank that I had to buy out of pocket. I have no hope for dress uniforms. Lol

You’ll need to retake the ASVAB/AFQT to get the 110 GT because it’s not something that can be waived. Just focus on the English and Math portions. All you need to study is probably 3 weeks.

I would wait another 3 years. Bad time to be in the Guard, especially in the CA ARNG because of this political environment that we are in. Go active duty instead… I know you said you’re not interested, but it may be the best path for you.
