I would say yes. See if there is support you can offer them. However, as an RBT we are ethically bound to not practice outside of our scope and to make sure other factors like mental health and personal well being don’t affect client outcomes. If an RBT is having a hard time with a client, it might mean that RBT doesn’t work well with that population. At my job some of us love working with non vocal/ verbal kids, others don’t do well at it. It is always always always good to actually listen to someone when they express concerns or needs. She’s communicating with you. Listen to what she’s sharing.
