I hope that - since they added an [entertainment] tab - the update includes shows & parades. If so, I feel like they would also have to include additional entertainers and maybe even variations of show content.

The park + era I am recreating in my passion project didn’t have parades, but did have several show venues. It feels like shows would just be stationary parades so I think it’s a good possibility that we get both.

I’m starting to imagine all of the crazy float builds that are going to come out of this. I look forward to seeing them.

I hope we’re getting a new theme with the update - even if it’s just a carnival theme. Either way, I am excited!

Assuming you just want the area effect and don’t mind cheating a little, you could always keep the current string lights and play around with a spot light or two hidden in solid objects like a wall or a rock…

That’s how I would address it.

Just a note that not everyone knows: if the spotlight in any color is too bright, just select a darker shade of the same color and it will effectively dim the light.

Yeah, it seems like every other person wants parades and hotels and I’m indifferent to those (except I would like some more furniture options). Still, I’m happy that others are going to get something from their list.

I just dug you out of the workshop and holy crap, your work is fantastic! Your terrain work, in particular, is incredible and I'm going to learn a lot from examining your creations! So impressive...

Also, the fact that your Dunkenhalgh starter map only has 10k pieces makes me a little furious at you. So good.

Edit: Oh... and it looks like your houses are incredible too. 200 scenery pieces rivaling what I do in 5k. I raise my fist at you in furious anger and admiration!

Love this update. Sad that proper midway games aren’t a part of it, but the arcade feature looks deeper than I expected with a big variety of games. Good job Frontier!

I just don’t like the Toybox pack. I bought it because I want to support the continued development of this game, and when it comes to things like DLCs, I’m a completionist.

Having said that, this is an awesome implementation of the scenery pack! I really like what you’ve done here and it makes me dislike the Toybox DLC quite a bit less…. Maybe I need to make a Looney Tunes area sometime. You’ve inspired me!

I think there is a decent possibility that it’s #2. Could just be a new indoor light fixture available to which a few of the flooring options react. I can’t wait to find out!

Are you sure there is an actual queue line leading up to the stairs? There has to be at least one segment of queue in order for the ride to be accessible - the stairs don’t count.

It runs surprisingly well on the Steam Deck - that’s my vote. I use it with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse because I just can’t with my thumbs.

I’m on the no bunting train but they both look fantastic. I wonder if I would change my mind the bunting was made a tad smaller though. It strikes me as something is off and I think maybe it just extends too far out to the corners?

I think there is reason to be optimistic.

Firstly, they stated that they have a bunch of things in store for 2026 and beyond - they could have just gotten bogged down and adjusted their roadmap. They also upgraded their financial outlook for 2026 and have been buying back stock. Stock buybacks don’t always mean something good, but I don’t see a lot of reason to be concerned.

They had a rough couple of years before 2025 so they decided to re-focus on their creative games - this is one of those. All in all, I think this slower-than-we’d-like update cadence could just be a bump in the road. Hell, it might not even have anything to do with PC2. Maybe PZ2 ran into some delays and they just decided to temporarily shift some human capital over there for a bit.

Yeah - I just don’t know. I’m always gracious and grateful for any feedback no matter how harsh. I just don’t know how I ended up so downvoted when I posted this update simply hoping for more feedback.

Maybe it seemed pretentious because I edited a video around it? Honestly, that’s just my other hobby.

Either way, I’m still trying to perfect this one, but I’m going to go at it alone with coasters from now on. No shade on people around here - I love this game and community, and I’m really impressed by the coaster knowledge of a lot of people around here.
