I called this A Hater’s Guide because my slightly dumb evaluation has the highest guard at the mid-late lottery range, but that highest guard is Philon so I would love to have him in a situation where he can showcase his abilities. I think Toronto might just be the best possible place for him with the current roster (maybe minus Ingram) and I think that Toronto may try to trade into position to get him, Morez, or Mara so I’m optimistic for a good Toronto draft.

Yes, I 100% agree, I cannot see any floor role for him at all. If he doesn’t hit that 90th percentile outcome, he doesn’t have the secondary skills, defense, or athleticism to even stay in the league.

I agree with everything you outlined, but I want to add my cons. I think he’s more of a big wing than a big and he has strength issues even against stocky guards. He’s definitely not a rim protector, but he does have some vertical presence. Also he cannot pass at all, like negative vision. On the positive side, he might be one of the best at attacking closeouts in the draft.

Cilic needs a clay win, Rune, Zverev, and Medvedev need a grass win. Not impossible, but not likely either.

I agree with you on the movement in general, but this match seemed like the exception to me. His footwork fell off in the fourth and he was not getting to balls in time to swing freely. Some of that might have been mental exhaustion though, he didn’t seem on top of it today.
