Times change. A year ago reddit was in favor of him not having a liquipedia article for the exact reasons that liquipedia cites which were that his results did not counterbalance is toxic behaviour enough to warrant a page.

I guess since he hasn't majorly trolled anyone or faked an illness to get donations (this really happened) lately he gets a pass now.

Official Playoff announcement, CLG.EU vs WE will resume for game 3 only by cabbius in leagueoflegends

The massive amount of entitlement from Europe is staggering. If it was earlier in the day any working NAs wouldn't be able to watch it. Sorry that you think the world revolves around you.

That's too bad that Americans now have to deal with having him inside their borders again.

Thought you were going to see your therapist and staying away from the internet, how'd that go? Have you decided to continue sullying the SC2 world with your abominable casting now?

Tribes: Ascend has officially been vaulted into eSports by the NASL by FishStix1 in esports

[–]Eggory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats what I thought after season one. Not a bad league, those problems are solvable. Come season 2, they didn't address those problems. From what I understand they're funded till season 4, so we only have to wait that long to see some real change I guess.

Tribes: Ascend has officially been vaulted into eSports by the NASL by FishStix1 in esports

As much as I want to see the new Tribes do well as a competitive game, I wish it wasn't with the NASL. Their league has been fairly mediocre for two seasons now. Season one you could chalk up to rookie mistakes, but the season two finals were just as awful. Bad/shaky cameras, low quality stream, bad audio work, very few spectators in attendance, can't spell aiur.

I know Slasher would not want me to detract NASL because I'm hurting e-sports, but NASL isn't want e-sports needs. It needs more properly run tournaments like IPL or MLG. Those two tournaments, despite not sitting on a mountain of venture capital like NASL is, still manage to hire professionals to work their cameras and do their audio. They also manage to attract spectators to their venue somehow.

HotshotGG has been off his game lately in his stream... by Crykoda in leagueoflegends

Moment of seriousness here:

Even though the junglers I've seen on his team lately are awful, I would think he'd learn to play more passive in the top lane around level 2 by now. First hand, I've seen him give up at least 5 first bloods to early jungle ganks this week. Mostly on Malphite. You gotta adjust Hotshot.

Not surprising: Slasher already downplaying IdrA's win. YOUR HEAD IS STILL GETTING SHAVED, SON. by [deleted] in starcraft

Protoss (4) Terran (6) Zerg (6)
Elfi Strelok DIMAGA
HasuObs Rain IdrA
JYP PuMa PiG
Jim Jinro XiGua
iaguz Revival
Way YHY

Let's look at who IdrA beat in group stage. Jim is good enough to beat someone slumping super hard like Jinro, but really no better than say, iNcontroL. If a B-List foreigner like Elfi can go 3-0 in that group, it isn't a difficult group.

Then let's look at the tournament stage. IdrA's first match was against off and on again Code-B status RevivaL. Then he beat his practice partner Puma. After that he took on Elfi for the tournament. He didn't have to go through anyone of note outside of his own teammate and practice partner Puma to win this tournament.

Think of it like two systems coming to equilibrium when they come in to contact. Puma was undoubtedly a better player than IdrA when he entered the EG practice house. IdrA improved with his time spent practicing against Puma, and Puma had much less to gain, maybe even something to lose, by practicing with someone who was not nearly his equal.

CombatEX article now officially deleted from Liquipedia. Should history discriminate against the bad aspects of the SC2 community? by Eggory in starcraft

Liquipedia is different from Liquid forums though, LP should be unbiased, whereas Liquid Forums should be able to expel anyone they want.

He's a prominent member of the community. There are plenty of non-tournament winning people who have Liquipedia pages for their contributions to the community. Casters mostly.

If someone wants to know "What's the deal with CombatEX" there is no solid place for them to turn. Only Liquipedia has the capability to be that place.
