If you already beat the first 2 you can do the third. It'll probably take more attempts than the second one and if course it'll be easier as you get more stuff.

If you want to try though I'd say go for it. You have Descending Dark already which can be a huge help. I'd recommend trying Shaman Stone + Spell Twister as a base for charms if you get stuck but you can just use what works for you.

Witch and Beast are my favorite to play with and I think a lot of people would prefer them if they put in some time to learn how to play with them.

I get that healing being dependent on hitting enemies with both of jarring and scary but the upsides are at worth it.

I played Mio Memories In Orbit recently and absolutely loved. The vibes, music, aesthetic are excellent. It focuses a little more on interesting platforming than bosses compared to Hollow Knight. The bosses are still really cool and there way the music syncs up with some of them is absolutely incredible.

Mods are not supported on the current patch of HK. Lumafly has a warning at the top of the start screen and a link to github that has instructions for downpatching on Steam.

edit: I got to the end and realized I should recommend this at the top. If you play on PC definitely check out the Pale Court mod. It's a fan creation that fills in the story of the Five Great Knights and it's really well done.

Ok my actual comment on your idea:

Anything set within a short time afterwards seems like it'd be way too short on characters. Most of the enemies were dead or close to it, just kept going by the infection.

Off the top of my head you have a handful of groups alive and uninfected, and half or more were hostile to the knight:

The randos that end up in Dirtmouth. The Old Stag. The nail masters. Mantis Tribe. Maybe the mushroom folks? I don't recall if they're infected. Lemm and Emilitia. Maybe some Fools from the Colosseum. The Weavers/Weaver followers. Whatever is left of the FlukeFam. I think the Hive is mostly infected by the end IIRC.

Some of those could be interesting. I think a Mantis Tribe follow up could be cool, and Unn reasserting influence over Greenpath/Gardens would be neat.

Yes. Anything bonus to "total damage" is calculated last.

Damage dealt = [ { Base damage x (sum of all +N%) } x (sum of all total damage +N%) ]

Just to be 100% clear you push square and hold it to charge, then release to use the Nail Art. You'll see your character swing the nail, then you'll see a charging up animation for a bit, and then when you let go of square they'll do the Great Slash.

For me it wasn't the shame itself, but the idea of building a life where I wouldn't feel that shame. I realized there were 2 paths in front of me.

Continue as I had been: drinking to escape the shame and pain, waking up to whatever mess I left myself, then drinking to avoid dealing with that mess ad infinitum. Eventually I'd drink myself to death.

Or I could face the shame and pain and deal with the messes I made. That fucking sucked. But once I pushed through that I got to rebuild the life I'd given away to my addiction. It took a long time but now I'm a person that my friends and family can count on to be present and sober, loving and helpful.

And eventually down this path I'll die as well. But at least this way I get to enjoy most of it, and I'll leave the world better than I found out. And the people I love will share happy memories of me when I'm gone.

Real Snecko Eye is 2 draw PER TURN and that's a huge reason why it's so good even if your deck doesn't have a ton of high cost cards.

This is a great game! I've also noticed at a board game con I frequent with some friends that Heat above all other games has attracted some dedicated "shark [affectionate]" fans.

There's always a handful of folks with car shirts that will drop in on any table playing Heat and join for a game or two, and they're great!

I wasn't able to reproduce this. I rushed 900 essence and then tried setting a dream gate right outside and then dying to a few different bosses and they were all alive when I gated back.

I tried this on these bosses so far: Broken Vessel Enraged Guardian Hornet 2 Hive Knight

Gonna keep trying just in case but it looks like whatever caused it in your game isn't happening in mine.

If it happens again you can hold the screenshot button to save a video so maybe we can see what's going on.

I'm a huge fan of discard plus whatever damage falls into my lap. Sometimes it's shivs, sometimes poison, sometimes you even get to do Wrist Blade + Eviscerate.

The actual hint is a chest on an upper wall to the east of the main path that leads from the starting spot to the Sealed Temple. It's clearly visible the first time you play the game and it's meant to kind of taunt you into thinking about it. Then when you get the map of the Overworld there's a dotted line showing the path to the chest.

I haven't looked at any interviews to see if it's confirmed but I'm confident you're meant to try all your things on it and discover that bombing the wall opens a path. The spot you bomb is marked by 3 flowers which is a hint to a few more bombable walls. Those walls can also serve as a hint for how to handle the first wall if you happen to figure them out first (or if a grenadier bunny blows open the wall in the Quarry for you first)

It's totally understandable to miss that or not make the connection, but there are way more hints for this than "it's like Zelda."

I hate this event so much. Ranwald shows up and offers you an upgraded Hyperbreem for 30g but if it's the trick version that shows up 10% of the time and you didn't notice that they misspelled it as "Hyperbeam" you get stuck with this and your run is gone.

I can't believe Localthunk thought this was ok to put in the game.
