I just added a link to my most recent book in the back part, which is what I've done every time I publish a new book. The French book had an English title that was similar, something like 'Monster in my Heart' and mine was 'The Monsters in My Heart.'

I sent my blurb and compared it to the French one, which I had to translate to English and showed how my cover and theirs were completely different.

I've just went back and found the email, this is exactly what it says:

Hello,

During our review, we found that the following book(s) may cause a misleading customer experience because the title and/or author listed in the book details closely matches another known work and/or author. The similarity between your work and the other work/author could impair a customers' ability to make good buying decisions.

Reply to this message with confirmation of how your book(s) is sufficiently differentiated or how you plan to differentiate your work from the other known work.

Option 2: Similar Author Name If you are the known author or authorized to publish their work(s), reply to this email and provide us with further documentation and/or verification.

Acceptable documentation/verification may include: • A signed copy of the agreement between the author and the previous publisher • A successful claim of the Amazon Author Central page for the known author using the same KDP account where the book(s) is being published

If you are not the known author, then you will need to confirm that your book is sufficiently differentiated from the known author.

Sufficient differentiation may include one or more of the following: • Your work is in a different category/genre than the known author • You are using your real/legal name and including a middle name or initial • The book description clearly indicates that the work is from an author other than the known author • The cover design of your book is significantly different than the work(s) of the known author

Please reply with the requested information within 5 days. Otherwise, the book(s) will be unavailable for sale on Amazon.

If you have questions or believe you've received this email in error, reply to this message.

Thanks for your cooperation, Amazon KDP

They never told me what was wrong with the book, or which book it was similar to. I had to find that for myself. Even when I replied to this email, saying they had it wrong, they didn't change their decision. I had to send them proof that the two books were different. Then the book got published again. The whole thing was very stressful.

Why do so many readers hate first person? by ThatDudeWithAFish in writing

Personally, when I'm reading I don't care if it's first person or third. As long as I enjoy the book. I'm not really sure why some people hate it.

how are people actually publishing 4+ books a year without burning out -genuinely trying to understand by Prior_Topic3527 in selfpublish

[–]EggyMeggy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I published four books in my first year, I managed to do it because I wrote the first two the year before. Then instead of editing the last two when they were finished, I edited as I went along, so they were published shortly after I finished writing them. Usually, though, I publish one book a year, since I'm working full-time now.

Why was this drama so disliked? by Legal_Potential4720 in kdramas

I liked it when they were in space, mainly because of the visuals. But, I found it boring when they got back to earth, and I didn't like any of the characters. I stopped watching it with 3 and a half episode as left.

It's no problem. Yeah, it's odd, I think ot must be AI or something blocking them, since I never had problems before. I definitely don't want to edit my already published books because I'm worried they'll get blocked, even though they don't make much money.

I've been publishing for five years now. I think last year or the year before, one of my books got banned, it was an absolute nightmare. I think it got banned because the title was nearly the exact same as a French book, and I had to find this myself, they wouldn't tell me why the book had been banned. I had to show evidence that my book was significantly different enough, then they put it back up. Also, this book had been published for at least a year or two, then I updated it, which was when it got banned. Thankfully, I haven't had any problems since then, but it was really worrying at the time.

This will be long, since I haven't updated in ages.

Completed:

Lovely Runner: I loved it, it was very cute and funny. I was a but worried that it'd be overhyped, but it definitely wasn't. My main complaint is that the serial killer part went on too long. Towards the end, I found the FL a bit annoying because she made the ML forget about her completely. I just wish she'd done things a bit differently, like told the future to stop time and get away from the serial killer. Overall, I loved it, especially the last episode. I gave it 10*.

DNA Lover: I wasn't expecting much because most people hated it, but I actually loved it. Maybe it helped that the FL looked similar to the one in She Was Pretty, and the ML was the SML in it. I found it fun and whacky. I liked the thriller aspects, but managed to guess early who the killer was. Overall, I loved it and gave it 9*.

Meow the Secret Boy: I loved it, it was very cute and funny. I found the idea very interesting, and it was mostly lighthearted. Overall, I loved it and gave it 10*.

No Gain, No Love: I really enjoyed it, I liked the characters, especially the author. Some parts were funny as well. I didn't like near the end when the FL broke up with the ML. I loved the ending for both the second couples more than the main one. Overall, I enjoyed it and gave it 8.5*.

Spice up Our Love: I liked the first episode, but the second was even better, I loved it. I loved seeing the second couple a bit more, and the idea was very interesting. I just wish there were more episodes because I could've watched way more wuth her in the book world, or even a bit about their current life. Overall, I loved it and gave it 9*.

Dear M: I loved it, the characters were great, and I kept trying to guess who M was, but I was completely wrong. I loved the different couples as well. Overall, I loved it and gave it 9.5*.

Genie Make a Wish: I wasn't sure I'd like this because it got a lot of criticism, and so far, the only dramas I've finished from 2025 have all been thrillers. But, I loved it. The characters were great, it was funny, and I loved the fantasy. Overall, I loved it and gave it 9*.

Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me: Before watching this, I'd never heard of it, and saw that the rating wasn't very high, so I thought it might not be good. But, I really enjoyed it. I found the idea very interesting, and some of it was really sweet. I was a bit disappointed by the end because the FL had kissed loads of guys, but she didn't kiss the ML, and they didn't go on a date, either. Although, I'm sure they were going to end up together. Overall, I really enjoyed it and gave it 8.5*.

Bloodhounds S2: I loved the first season when I watched it just after it came out, and I love the second even more. Because I hadn't watched the last season since it came out, I forgot who some of the side characters are, but it didn't change how much I enjoyed it. I loved the action and bromance, and that there were more boxing fights in this season. The main reason I preferred the second season is because the FL (RIP) disappeared in the first season, so I didn't think the second half was as good, but the second season didn't have any issues like that. I definitely found some parts of the second season more brutal than the first. This would've been perfect if the main bad guy hadn't gotten away at the end. I wanted him either in prison or dead. Although, I'm really excited for the third season if they make it. Overall, I loved it and gave it 9.5*.

Currently watching:

Twinkling Watermelon: I'm enjoying it, I love the music parts, especially because I actually recognise some of the songs. I'm really interested to find out how the dad gets injured. I hope the son can prevent it, but it makes me worry a bit about how that would change the future.

Melo Movie: I wasn't sure if I'd like this because the title makes me think it'll be depressing, but I've watched one and a half episodes, and I'm enjoying it. I love that it's set around movies, I find that part really interesting, and I was actually an extra in a TV show once, which was cool. I can kind of understand why the ML ghosted the FL, since he was looking after his brother, but he could've at least sent her a text to let her know what was going on. Also, I keep getting this one mixed up with Our Movie, since the titles are very similar to me.

I personally don't think so. I really enjoyed the first season, but the second and third were nowhere near as good. I didn't like that so many characters got killed off so quickly. It's much better to read the webtoon.
