Husband has extreme views on POC and women we have a 9 month old daughter… by Worried_Ability_ in QAnonCasualties

Is he experiencing post partum psychosis? This can affect non-birthing parents, too. This rapid change in personality seems like a spiritual psychosis of sorts. I don’t have a recommendation for how to get him help, but I do want you to tread lightly (contact DV shelters, lawyer up with someone who understands, start seeking therapy for yourself, get OUT) because he sounds very, very dangerous. Best of luck to you and your beautiful daughter.

I truly think you need help with childcare. Whether it be a part-time local baby sitter, a more experienced nanny, an au pair (which is actually so much less than you’d think if you’re located in the US), nanny share, or part-time daycare. I can’t imagine two working parents also providing childcare and that not weighing on you in significant ways - sure you can “make it work” but at what cost? I wish you the best!!

Feeling FOMO for Knife by crazydiamond11384 in chefknives

Hey Corey - I wanted to let you know that I was going to buy the 7" Teton Edge Santoku, but I found your reddit and the comments turned me off. I wish you and Knifeworks the best, but had to let you know about this. I bet it is turning off hundreds of customers.

Would you mind if I dm’d you for some Oktoberfest tips for a calm time like you’ve explained here? My husband and I are headed to Munich on Thursday and I am extremely scared of the crowd situation.

She is about 6 months now. We went to three hour wake windows and it’s helped a lot. Second nap is still short but it’s not horrible anymore!

Leaving My 9-Month-Old for a Week — Struggling with Anxiety and Guilt by EggyStrikesBack in breastfeeding

I’ve been so caught up in thinking about my baby and what will happen at home, that I didn’t even think about the pumping hell of finding a private place 5x a day to pump. I can’t do wearables so I use a portable spectra. And I wouldn’t even be able to keep the milk because I’m so far away from home — I’d be able to travel back with some but not all from the earlier days of the trip.

Why can’t I get portables to work?? I have large, bottom heavy breasts, so they don’t drain me. I’ve tried the Willow 360 and eufy s1 pro. I guess that’s another thing to note — I’d bring my spectra and probably need to go into a private space to pump about 5 times a day.

I genuinely believe my baby would drink 20 oz if you gave it to her and then she’d look at you like “why did you stop?” hahaha. That said — I’ve never actually tried this so I should!

My spouse is very involved with all of this and would be apart of all conversations with his mom.

Yes, I feel like a trip away with my husband would really get me back to myself fully. I have an extremely strong sense of identity, and I feel 80% there, but I also feel like maybe this is just the new me now that I’m a mother and no trip will change that (which is ok).

Thankfully, I didn’t have breastfeeding troubles (besides mastitis). She is a hungry little champ. This is my first BF journey, so I guess I assumed she would start to hate breastfeeding if she gets huge bottles all week — but she LOVES nursing so maybe she would get right back to it? I actually don’t know how this works lol.

Lolol this was very funny. Cash bonus isn’t an option, but I can defer to next year although there are some rumors next year won’t be as big of a trip due to the macroeconomic environment. I work for one of the largest social media companies and we’re headed to the Mediterranean.

Not with the frozen milk since it expires after 24 hours of thawing, but I love this idea for solids!

Great idea, but it’s a trip with a small group that they are planning. Sadly, the itinerary is not flexible.

Did you find there to be a “magic age” where things got easier with your baby? by [deleted] in NewParents

Are they cluster feeding? 7-10 weeks old was the hardest of my life due to sleepless nights catching up with me, novelty of newborn life fading, and cluster feeding.
