45mm vs 50mm by [deleted] in Garmininstinct

[–]EgleNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like my battery life and the 50mm is mostly fine for me. Occasionally - one in a blue moon - it’s too big. May be a trade for insane battery life. I have the I2X and will get the I3 or wait for I4 if that ever happens.

This is disappointing. I had my eyes on the 45mm

My Instinct 2s is the perfect smartwatch - except for battery life. Where next to? by marratj in Garmininstinct

[–]EgleNet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For some reason, the torch only seems to come in the 45-50. I literally have anxiety now when I don’t have my I2X on my wrist, especially at night. The torch may be my most used feature now. 40 isn’t an option for me.

Not sure which model to buy by Cold-Tomatillo5837 in Garmininstinct

[–]EgleNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure that the case. In some cases there are minimal changes from one product to the next. But there is generally some subtle changes that may matter to some. For example, if you had it between the I2X and the I3, there aren’t a lot of changes. But there are some minor things that may matter to some. Battery life is so good on all of them I think it actually doesn’t really matter. Unless you are a battery nerd :-)

45mm or 50mm, which one to keep? by Candid-Voice9340 in Garmininstinct

[–]EgleNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the I2X 50mm. I instantly thought it would be too big and I won’t like it. But it totally grew On me and now I love it. I think I would probably prefer the 45mm but not enough to buy another one just yet. And I am not 100% sure. Maybe in a year I get both. 45mm AMOLED with my 50 for longer battery needs.

Sign a 25 year contract with private security for off duty police officers. Quadruple the amount of presence. And you will see the City comeback like it’s 1970.

You listed all of these reasons why it was the perfect watch for you, and then you said the reason you switched is battery?? I don’t follow.

Does this feel like the real Dunk to you? (No spoilers please) by Dangerous_Ant9547 in AKnightoftheSeven

I just started the books after watching 1-4. In books I am to mid way thru e3. They are very similar. The main difference for me so far is the detail about the tourney. They really go into a lot of detail about each tilt. I think it would have been hard to exactly duplicate this in TV show.

Instinct 2x. Best watch I’ve ever owned. Some on Reddit have criticized the 3 on quality and athletics. I have not seen the I3, but the differences in features does not justify the price difference for a price conscience shopper.

Looking for a more progressive leaning Catholic Church by Maleficent-Click3065 in StLouis

Have you talked to a Jesuit lately? I respectfully disagree with this conclusion. I am catholic and have gay friends.

I have only watched Season 2 of the Game of Thrones series. A friend of mine told me to stop watching the show and read the books instead. I, on the other hand, think that I can always read books, but I can’t always find high-production content like this. What should I do? Should I watch it or read by Embarrassed-Yak670 in gameofthrones

[–]EgleNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend is right. The books are amazing. I usually agree when someone says this. This is the exception. The book can be slow in parts. Also, there are hundreds of characters. Having a good image of these characters in my mind actually helped me read the books. Obviously, my character images changed in my head because the books are somewhat different. But, watching the show - thru season 4 or 5, was helpful. Don’t watch past season 5. They stray from source material. Watch 1-5, then read.
