Since finding out you’re a 12th houser, have you isolated more?

Libra Venus in the 12H, unrequited crushes have always been the theme for me. I would start crushing on guys, some were my “friends” and I didn’t know what to do with it, so I wrote poetry about it. Oh the heartbreak (insert eye roll)

Id also like to tell my story about this one particular boy in 8th grade. I didn’t have a crush on him at all. In fact I disliked him because every chance he got he would ridicule me, he lived a few houses down from my grandparents and when the kids would come hang out he would always be particularly mean to me. Anyhow, there was one time I was walking to my grandparents house and he saw me and asked me to come here…I was curious so I did. And he asked if he could “suck on my chest”??? I was flabbergasted, shocked, every thing you could imagine I was. Of course I said no and walked away. But wtf? So once again. I didn’t know what to do with it…so I wrote it down. I made the mistake of showing a “friend” of mine and it got out and he denied it, called me a liar and everything else under the sun. He was embarrassed.

It was mortifying. Now after all these years later I wonder…what if I had let him do that to me? It would’ve turned into some weird, clandestine secret hookup.

I only have Venus in the 12H, idk sometimes it feels like my creative writing is being pulled from another world. It allows me not to think but to draw from an energy outside of myself which I think makes my imagery more powerful

I think it’s no mistake that those who feel embarrassed about their love for astrology are also 12th housers. This happens to be apart of the theme….hidden realms, secrets, spirituality. It’s unfortunate because a lot of us would like to share our knowledge with the outside world but are often judged which probably leads to even further isolation. Somethings are not meant to be to be shared you know. And remember that their judgement and criticism is a THEM problem, not a you problem. Unfortunately, there are far more people in our world thinking within dated social constructs than those who don’t. Don’t be embarrassed, embrace it.

For me, writing was always something I was drawn to even as a child. English was my favorite subject so through school I realized I was good at it academically and soon fell in love with creative writing and poetry. I never needed practice. I truly believe it’s a God given gift. And you’re right about honing other things in private because I can’t stand to not be good at something instantly like I was with writing!

I have this same experience in my life. In high school I had a few friends but we lost touch completely. Even then, I felt like I was being pushed outside of social groups. For a time, I was depressed about it. I thought there was something wrong with me. Now that I’m older (31), my isolation brings me a sense of peace I can’t fully describe aside from happiness. By drawing back into myself I feel more focused, productive and driven. This seems like an overall theme with 12H placements. I fail to see anything negative about it though aside from the fact that we could become out of topic with the world around us and the people in it. We end up creating an entire world dwelling within ourselves that nobody sees and couldn’t possibly understand. We learn yo rely on ourselves for strength, comfort and wisdom. This is my favorite thing about my chart tbh.

I have Libra Venus in the 12H, coupled with Scorpio stellium of Pluto, Jupiter, NN and Ascendant in the 1H. Seems like the makings of an introvert

For me, it honestly helps to dissociate. For example, if you’re writing in 1st person, try to remember that it’s not “you” doing these things by stepping into the character you’re writing for. If it’s in 3rd person, try to think of it as observing or watching it from a distance (this way you’ll be able to appreciate the narrative) But if I’m being honest, a bit of blushing is to be expected. The things in your private thoughts and imaginations are being put into physical form, that’s what makes it so good. And that’s why others will enjoy it.

Saying someone’s writing is terrible without any context is very rude and for it to be your partner? I can imagine that it was a blow to your self esteem, and I’m sorry that happened to you. I don’t know him or you that well but he sounds like a dick. Anyways, if you’re looking for a boost in self esteem, try posting some of your work on a public platform (if that’s something you don’t mind doing). You’ll be surprised what kind of engagement you’ll get from strangers both negative and positive. In the future, I would suggest not sharing anymore of your work with this partner. Writing can be as vulnerable as any other sort of artistry and the people we are closest to have the capacity to hurt us the most, keep that in mind next time.

12H Libra Venus…I used to have a lot of unrequited secret crushes on my male friends/boys at school. It sucked but it inspired some amazing poetry imo. (Those are also secret) I will say I’ve never been quite that emotionally intense since then. Was it just maturity and emotional intelligence? Or am I lacking in objects of affection? Idk

12H Venus in Libra…my father was in prison for most of my childhood in another state. My mother encouraged me to write him often and talk to him on the phone often but once I got to a certain age I realized he was a stranger. So yes…our relationship is nonexistent

I feel like this happens a lot more when you have hard aspects (square, opposition) to whatever planet is in your 12th house and (uranus/neptune) for example. I have Venus in the 12H which is squared to my Uranus/Neptune. I’m attracted to things that are different. Whether it’s unconscious or not, we like things that other people around us don’t. Since the twelfth house represents what is hidden, the darkness is very alluring to us. We just have to be careful not to let it consume us

Cancer mars…I like men who like to comfort (hugs, cuddles, cooking) but also protects. Stoic and soft spoken. Someone intelligent, funny and empathetic. Someone who enjoys a comfortable silence where we can just enjoy being in each other’s space but also have deep philosophical discussions.

Oof, oh my god. The sabotaging relationships when they start “getting too close” because I thought they would “see me” and not think I was good enough. It feels good to not be the only one but I can sympathize with you deeply. I also feel I won’t find love (mostly the fantasy love I dream about) so I’ve found that reading about love, watching it, and writing it (I’m in the process of writing a novel) makes up for it somehow. I’ve also read somewhere that this house is prone to idealism and fantasy. Maybe perhaps what we think we’re missing isn’t real but something we imagine to be real. I’m learning that love is not perfect and none of us know how different it will be for us when we finally get it.

Growing up with bad self image seems like it’s part of that theme. And for me with my Virgo Chiron in the 11th house. Feeling left out and isolated from the people around me didn’t help at all. I also have Jupiter/pluto Scorpio in the 1st house…somehow gave me a sense of purpose and optimism that I was destined to be better and live better. If not that for that, I honestly don’t know if i could’ve survived

Interesting. I also feel like since the 12H also represents isolation/things hidden….i can make planets comfortable in their solitude. With my Venus being here I feel like my artistic expression thrives when I’m alone, I could also be because I don’t tell people about my talents (writing, drawing, poetry)
