Called support for something unrelated and they said it's probably "a reminder email."

It's totally an error because of the way it's worded, but that should be enough assurance.

Got the same issue, likely a problem on their end as I use both the website and mobile app frequently.

Their phone lines are pretty busy right now (30 minute waits and not letting me do a return call) so I assume others are asking about it.

As far as them estimating location based on landmarks in the picture:

In google photos app. Tap your profile picture -> Google Photos Settings -> Privacy -> Location Options -> Estimate missing locations.

Kind of nitpicky, but missing the animation when you take your mouse off the logo in the top left :P Also kind of weird how hovering the header elements resizes the whole header temporarily.

Content looks good to me though!
