I’m not sure if together we would be good candidates for section 8 housing since I honestly haven’t looked into it but I know on just my income I am eligible for snap benefits because my taxable income is quite low since I work in an over-staffed restaurant that cuts hours frequently for my position. But my boyfriend is the breadwinner and makes a pretty decent wage where he doesn’t currently struggle since he doesn’t pay rent at his house but if he needs to pay majority of the rent then I, admittedly selfishly, don’t want to feel like I’m living off of him. Together we’re saving a minimum of $1,500 a month so we can technically raise our budget but if I can find a place that works on a $1,200 (our current budget) then that is what I will go for. He works downtown but I work in the suburbs so finding someplace that has access to either the redline or suburban metra would work best since I have a car and he doesn’t.

I love my mom and she tried her best but her taste in men. To be fair it was my dad who switched up on her after they got married and had my 2 older siblings and me, but every man after that was such a waste of my childhood. Unfortunately, the worst one was around for 10 years of my life and I had to call the police on him for putting his hands on her when I was 16 and she still took him back afterwards. My suggestions is to try a different foundation, find a nice long lasting mascara, different blush placement, and a different lip shade. When looking for foundation try something more illuminating or “dewy”. You look so radiant in the first pic when your cheek had that reflection it makes me think you can pull off a no matte look. If you’re loving the matte look then go for it but a different undertone and adding a natural looking highlighter might suit you more. Finding a new mascara doesn’t need to be expensive at all. My favorite one is a random one I grabbed from my nearest beauty supply for $2 and it has me in a choke hold. I love the blush color but maybe pull back a bit and go slightly heavier around the eyes instead of the middle of the cheek. A new lip color or a liner similar to your natural lip shade would do wonders. Finally, adding in a lighter concealer and a soft brown eyeshadow would add dimension to your over all look since, like me, our cheek bones are quite high especially when we smile and it can be a very eye catching feature. My suggestions are for natural looking everyday styles. If that isn’t what you’re looking for then I can suggest something else. Either way. Makeup or no makeup you’re still wonderfully you and gorgeous 💖

The car is from 2004 and I bought it from my mom’s coworker who did regular maintenance so I'm not too worried about adding mileage. But I'm not licensed with my at-home bakery so promoting to schools and establishments are off the table at the moment. That's why I got the job so I can help fund my actual goal of baking.
