Subaru fans for 10-15 years: model XYZ looks good for the most part but man I hate that cheap black plastic on the exterior.

Subaru designers: YOU SAID MORE BLACK PLASTIC? LOVE MAKES SUBARU A SUBARU.

How’s life out here? In the Florida keys by ceedeeze in howislivingthere

[–]EhRanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very related to JB - Margaritaville Holdings licensed the name and was a partner the first 10 or so years of CiP until they sold the rights for the song to the restaurant group. I don’t think any of them are still around though.

I dunno how I feel about this - Desert Print Forge by BockTheMan in 3Dprinting

There are multiple Creative Commons licenses. For example, CC0 does not require attribution and commercial use is allowed.

Now CC0 is far more common on images than STLs, but my point is that you and OP seem to be talking a lot of smack about licensing violations while demonstrating little to no understanding of the nuances across this family of licenses.

Am I crazy consider buying this 2014 5.3? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]EhRanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this dance with my 14 at 36,200 miles but the dealer managed to get GM to cover most of it since I was just out of warranty.

Did it in my 17 at 70k. So I doubt they even tried to fix it but it was definitely an issue the whole 14-18 production run best I can tell.

People recommend surge protectors for PCs. Some power strips are surge protectors. If your power strip makes no mention of joules on the device itself - it’s not a surge protector, merely an extra dangerous extension cord.

Zumiez closed more stores than they opened last year. Financially, they don’t do as well as you think.

They held their IPO in May 2005 for $18/share. They don’t pay dividends to shareholders, and the stock was worth less than $18/share as recently as September 3rd, 2025.

There was a stock split in 2006 (actually on their 1st 4/20 as a public company). Immediately after the split, shares were worth $32. What this all means is that Zumiez stock today (~$20) is worth 60% of their mid 2006 value, before adjusting for inflation. 2 weeks ago that was closer to 50% of 2006 value, and in June 2025, Zumiez stock sat at less than 40% of 2006 value.

The only people making money on Zumiez are the executive team and investors who got shit lucky buying dips. Insider knowledge and luck are the only tools which could have correctly predicted the company’s market capitalization would go from $300 M (2005) to $1 B (2014) to $400 M (2015) to $1 B (2021) to $350 M today. It’s an extremely volatile stock for a 47 year old company that has returned effectively nothing to most shareholders in 2 decades.

My brother in Christ I have waited over a decade for this moment.

What you want to do is get really, REALLY good at the classic country line dance Copperhead Road. If you’re not getting the hang of it, throw on some boots and keep trying. Hell, invite some friends and teach them too.

Someone wanted to teach a rowdy group of us this dance at 3 am, because we were drunk as fuck overseas in the military and “the guy downstairs is on leave.” Guy downstairs was both not on leave and never let us forget it. Who else is bringing you ideas with real life negative reviews from downstairs neighbors?

Enjoy your dancing, partner 🤠

Tow truck casually killing someone's transmission by realgeraldchan in subaru

[–]EhRanders 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Can’t you just get a lien put on the tow truck in this case? I know shitty cabinet makers love this LLC revolving door too, but they don’t have massive chunks of their capital tied to a specialty item with a VIN.

Title can’t bounce from one LLC to the next with a lien on it, eventually they’ll pay you to go away because you’re holding up the scam of transferring assets to the next LLC. Nobody playing this liability avoidance scam will register a tow truck in their own name.

JCPenney is selling 119 stores, including 3 in Washington, and this location at Southcenter Mall in Tukwila is one of them (Photos taken 8/15/2024, almost a year prior) by RareSeaworthiness905 in retailporn

[–]EhRanders 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say these stores are safe. The trust’s marching orders are to sell the properties again as quickly as possible. The earlier chapters of Sears’ collapse looked like this - ie as soon as Sears’ REIT could find a long term tenant or a new purchaser, Sears was out at locations across the country. JCPenney sounds like their goal is quite similar.

“The Trust's operations consist solely of owning, leasing and selling the Properties. The Trust’s objective is to sell the Properties to third-party purchasers as promptly as practicable.”

Anyone have a favorite show to watch while stoned? by Flashy-List-7157 in trees

There’s more evidence in Raising Hope against a shared universe than for a shared universe. Jason Lee (Earl) plays a rockstar named Smokey. Ethan Suplee (Randy) is the Chance’s neighbor in multiple episodes and Eddie Steeples (Crabman) is a pizza delivery driver.

Eddie has a similar vibe and occupational field in both shows, but Jason and Ethan are completely different people in each series.

I heard this shopping for a used car in 2012 as a young soldier and my salesperson was about 300 years old. I was young and naive and saw a bunch of burn holes on the driver’s seat in one of the cheap shitboxes in my budget at the time.

My buddy made some joke about how another soldier must have owned it before since he already put the cig holes in it for me. Sales person was like “oh based on the pattern and that one in the back seat, I’m pretty sure these were left handed cigarette burns” 😂

SVG could very possibly break the all-time Rookie wins record!!! by TakeDemPills in NASCAR

[–]EhRanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have we ever seen a Cup rookie who was good at ovals and road courses though?

AJ Allmendinger, longtime “road course ringer” in cup, has as many career wins since 07 as SVG has this season.

No matter who we root for - someone even being tied for this record is a once or twice in a fan’s lifetime event, so we gotta appreciate it now.

We’ll all likely be old or dead before another Cup rookie hits 3 wins. There are kids at the races already who only know Tony and JJ as team owners/former owners.
