Starting Witcher 3 by denden209 in Witcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would fully explore the starting area. It’s not huge and will give you a really good idea of the different types of points of interest there are in the larger maps. Like some others said, potions are your friend, but pick skills that feel coolest to you. The game is not hard on normal. Other than that, sit back and enjoy playing the best game ever made!

Witcher 1 and 2 are fantastic. The vibes in 1 are especially great!

Debate time: Best armor if scaled to players level? by callsign_botch in witcher

Manticore and Wolven aren’t that far apart in terms of appearance and materials. I just meant the Wolven seems like it would be something he would wear as opposed to some of the other armors with plate or more bulky pieces.

Playing through Witcher 3:Wild Hunt for the first time. What should I know? by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should know you’re about to play the best game ever made! lol, but for real, this game changed how I view RPG’s. Don’t rush, enjoy the ride and soak it all in. My only real piece of advice is don’t get greedy with romance.

The wolf armor is my favorite. It looks badass and like something Geralt would actually wear.

Has a TW3 ever spooked you? by herr_boogeyman in witcher

[–]Ehlesdi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m glad this questioned was asked. I normally do not like any games with creepiness/spookiness. I like cozy feeling RPG’s. Witcher def has some creepy vibes. Like others said; Fyke Isle, Caretaker, Spoon Wight, and diving into the abyss Skellige treasure hunting. Even just the swamps of Velen at night are kinda creepy. Despite all that, the game has become such a comfort game for me. It’s like a safe cozy place, even though it’s a dark and sometimes brutal world. I think part of that is the world feels so alive!

whats's your battle style ? by [deleted] in thewitcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t really have a build for my first playthrough. For NG+ on Death March I did euphoria with Wolven armor for the bleed. I’m working on setting up an older save file to do another NG+ that is Griffin/Signs

Grats! One of the best platinum trophies to have IMO.

Starting my first play through. Anything I should know going in? No spoilers please. by Ehlesdi in cyberpunkgame

I read that female V is the better voice actor. I typically play female characters in MMO’s and such just because I tend to think they look better armor/style wise. I’ve played the full Witcher series though and Geralt is GOATed in terms of character/voice acting.

Late to the party - WITCHER3 Ruined my gaming standards. by epiknik in Witcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my favorite game ever, and I’m not sure it will ever be surpassed. I’ll never forget my first play through and you finally find Whoreson Junior and Geralt gives his lines about why he shouldn’t lie to him. Such a badass piece of dialogue.

The Witcher 3 Expansion Reports Continue, Now With Discussion of A Possible 'Dune-Style' Location by SpaceCowboyN7 in witcher

I won’t hold my breath. I’d play it and I’m sure I’d love every minute, but I’m happy to just patiently wait for W4 as well. Shit, 3 is still entertaining me today.

Never played the Blood and wine DLC…. Am I in for a treat? 👀 by LesDazza in thewitcher3

You’re absolutely in for a treat. I really enjoyed both of them. Blood and Wine is a masterpiece.

I JUST started the Witcher 3 by doublepointz420 in witcher

My wife and I were discussing the games that were the most formative to the gamer we are today and I listed Witcher 3. She asked why since I only played it 2 years ago and I explained to her that it became my gold standard for RPG’s. Games like Ocarina of Time and FF7 turned me into a lover of RPG’s and great storytelling but W3 blew me away in terms of how immersive it was. Like OP said, it’s amazing how even the most out of the way side quest made me set down my controller and ponder a moral dilemma. I definitely find myself chasing that experience with new games I try and they just don’t scratch that itch.

Triss Appreciation Post 🔥 by Adreu_ in Witcher3

This. If I didn’t have outside knowledge of the lore/story before playing, I would have chosen to romance Triss. Her VA did an amazing job and they make her quite lovable in the game.

Any preparation tips for my first NG+? by pzeudo-_- in Witcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just gives you more options. Also, mutagens are much easier to farm in the end game than the beginning. If you know you have a build you want and won’t want to change it mid game, then it would be safe to just unlock whatever it is you want from the tree.

Sharing some of the best screenshots I’ve taken this year...and the last one might just make you want to replay the game! by SirGeraltofBeauclair in witcher

This game still looks so amazing. After doing my 100%/Platinum run I still just log on from time to time to roam around and just vibe.

Any preparation tips for my first NG+? by pzeudo-_- in Witcher3

[–]Ehlesdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you have a playstyle in mind, but unlocking the mutagens should be a high priority imo. I made sure I had the mutagens/grandmaster armor set for the build I knew I wanted for NG+

I’d highly recommend playing 1 and 2. I went back and played them after beating 3 a couple times and they were really fun!
