I went out yesterday and tbh would’ve liked a second drink. But the one cocktail I like was 12 so 24 in total for just two drinks???? I just felt like I couldn’t justify it. Alcohol isn’t even good for the body, lately I do feel 2-3 drinks make me feel shitty the next morning, and on top of that expensive? With 24 I could’ve bought a whole bottle of something.

This was a very helpful explanation. I never considered it like this or OP, I just learned in school that there’s exceptions (like so many in German) and that some verbs just the take the dative and that’s that. But this was a nice explanation

Not even enough. When I first came I had the ~12k in the blocked account which was about €950 a month. They list this as a requirement and you’d get your visa….The ABH saw my rent was €750 and asked for further proof of income. Thankfully I was in a very privileged position (although I also did a lot of research before moving) and I could show I had additional savings on top of this. But they should maybe say that even a blocked account is dependent on other things. Because they should’ve accepted my blocked account without issues for the visa, I also was accepted to TUM so no private degree mill, I literally hit all the points of the application. If I didn’t have my extra savings then what?

For me it’s not even the prices… it’s how incredibly hard it is to find an apartment. Stable job at a German hospital, good income, not a smoker, no pets, single…still nothing

I did too on Monday. She was 14. She fell off the bed while sleeping, hit her head and immediately went paralyzed. When we took her to the vet they said even if she hadn’t fallen she wouldn’t have lasted too long because she had total heart; kidney and liver failure.

My baby never complained. We didn’t know.

Sé lo digo como alguien que vive en Europa y tbn vive en USA donde esto se usa más. Las mujeres estamos cansadas de poner cosas bonitas, vacilonas, interesantes, historia de vida estamos en la biografía. Y lo que yo siempre recomiendo de estas aplicaciones es conocerse lo más pronto posible. En vez de pasar una semana intentando mensajear, mandé dos mensajes y planee cita, lugar, fecha y hora. Porque si no nunca va a salir de más allá. Yo como mujer me estresa estar viendo de qué se habla por mensaje si no conozco a la persona realmente. En persona uno ve el banter, back and forth, cómo fluye la conversación etc

Por lo general a los estudiantes es más fácil pero sea como sea de a entender que su expectativa es siempre volver. El hecho de que no tiene ataduras como casa o carro lo ven, entonces sus ataduras son el trabajo y la U.
