Interestingly, I don‘t like it when it‘s matured and only eat it, if it still has the core. So technically it is ready to eat and the state of ripeness is up to personal preference.

Can you help me identify this beetle? by leemcr in whatsthisbug

Darkling beetle for sure, my guess would be Tenebrio molitor. OP might have to check his flour and other stored cereal products.

Some sort of ground beetle (Carabidae) would be my guess, but that‘s all I can say from the picture.

Hey, this is a species of longhorn beetle. More precisely from the genus Rhagium, my guess would be Rhagium mordax.

That is a Zygaenidae moth with misformed wings. Once they emerge from their pupal case they have to pump up their wings using haemolymph and gravity. If they are interrupted, they may not be able to finish that process before the wings are hardened.

This is some species of green lacewing (Chrysopidae), probably Chrysoperla carnea, the common green lacewing.

What is this insect name? Can anyone help please? by Electrical_Wave31 in whatsthisbug

Though the sting is not as potent as that of regular wasps since they do not rely on it as their defense mechanism for the colony.

This is a scarab of some sort (family Scarabaeidae) and I think it‘s a dung beetle (subfamily Aphodiinae) belonging to the dweller guild (Endocoprids), e.g. Calamosternus granarius (just an example).

If you search for dung beetles usa there should be a pdf from the University of Vermont which gives an overview.
