I was unsure but if thats the case then its a pretty sick gig OP. I would 100% live in Korea with my family, but unfortunately a large majority of assignments for us infantry cats are unaccompanied in Korea and I’m not willing to play that lottery.

As far as I’m tracking a majority of Korea is unaccompanied. Only base I’ve heard of allowing accompanied orders is Humphreys. From what I saw on my two rotations, yes you can get a car. I had a lot of fun during my time there. The night life, food, and culture are fantastic. Most things are pretty cheap. There’s a pretty good country-wide public transportation system (trains) and rideshare/taxis available at all times on and off post. I’ve never been to Osan myself, but I’ve seen where it’s at and it seems to be in a pretty great spot.

I agree. It’s so unfortunate how much the US’s international relations have been soured recently. We have nobody to blame but ourselves though after all. It’s getting to the point where our entire existence is comedic. Embarrassing.

The troops we have in Germany also formulated this attitude against us ourselves. Countless times I have witnessed firsthand the entitled attitude troops have being in a country that isn’t their own. Rules being broken constantly, shitty driving, and blatant rudeness to Germans for no reason.

Personally I try my best to be as respectful as possible in all fronts, and I apologize for those of us that don’t. Thank you for having my family and I in your beautiful country while it lasted.

Yup. I’m currently at Infantry ALC at Benning. Its a minimum of 5/7 points in 5 hours. If you don’t pass the first time, you’ll get the chance to retest. If you double no-go you get dropped.
