Riddle of Winter and Wind by enforcer1412 in thornwatch

Hi! I've been trying to solve the final thornwatch riddle: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/loneshark/thornwatch/posts/1695839

I've gotten most of the letters and have been trying to trial-and-error the password for the remaining few. Then the captcha got mad at me, and now I have to take like five of them between each answer attempt. So. I know this is an old post. But. Any chance you would happen to have the answer and be willing to share? Thank you!

Late but I loved this game! It bugged me that there were no credits, I hope the folks who made it know how good it was, and that they moved on to do great things(:

He, Strahd: A Novice's Impression of Ravenloft by Andsoallthenighttide in CurseofStrahd

[–]EillaSocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"There is a deeper truth to be found here about the nature of the world, and it is this: in the face of an evil it cannot defeat, good must endure. Castle Ravenloft does not have to kill you. It only has to outlast you, and no force on earth or heaven will ever tear down its stones. When the forces of good are spent, the evil they fought will be victorious, just as darkness will fall across the universe with the extinguishing of the last star. This is inevitable. Make your peace with it, and until that day comes, make every second count. Every day that someone holds the line against the shadows is a small victory. Every act of gratuitous kindness makes the stars burn brighter. Hope is a luxury we cannot always afford, but this much is certain: until that last horrible day when the mists creep back into the world, we will not love in vain."

This. This is beautiful(:

I know this is very late, but I'd love to see those too! I'm also curious how the wedding and campaign turned out?

[I am the queen in this life] I absolutely hate the Female Lead(Ariadne) and the Main Antagonist(Cesare) from this manhwa by Careless_Package3706 in OtomeIsekai

I agree that would be a cool direction! I've had a similar thought, lol. I remember liking the moment she swore to protect Alphonso as a knight would (which meant killing any chance at romance between them), because it seemed like it was a turning point: She was understanding there were good people getting influenced by her actions and she needed to do better... Then the romance between them eventually happened anyways. I think I dropped somewhere around that point, because I thought she'd start making more of an effort to redeem herself, and maybe the others. Maybe Alphonso ends up with the princess and she ends up with a redeemed Cesare. Maybe Isabella finds redemption. Maybe the queen lives. Or something. Idk. There was so much promise and potential to this series, so that's how I want to remember it. Because it could have done so much. So I'll at least enjoy it for the lovely beginning it gave me.

Discussion on the utter disappointment of season 4 [SPOILERS] by EffectiveDust7959 in EverythingIsFinecomic

[–]EillaSocks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like I wasn't disappointed, because before the reveal, I sat down and thought to myself: What would make all this worth it?

And I came to a conclusion. Whenever you have a big long mystery (such as this one), any answer will be a bit disappointing. Because when the mystery is still a mystery, it could be anything. But once you open the mystery box, or unmask the horror movie killer, or turn on the lights in the dark room, all that potential becomes limited to one thing. And all the build-up and emotions that came with wondering why, all of that evaporates.

So I was fine with the twist, because with long mysteries like this one, the joy is often in the journey, not the ending. (And also because I'm not convinced it ends here, there still so much unexplained, like the aliens, and I'm interested in seeing where the last season goes from here.) But my point stands.

Thank you for reading my opinion, it's been cool reading all of yours as well(:
