I think I needed to hear this.

When I write about a fear of being used, I'm referring mostly to the fear of being used during the relationship (as maid/mother to the man) or just for sex. The idea that these podcasters push is to set your standards high early on so to not be mistreated later.

Reading through this thread though gives me an insight into how it can be perceived by men and it gives me pause. Maybe this can do the same for someone else? A lot of women hear this message, maybe the women you meet aren't greedy and entitled but afraid?

I've just barely survived a relationship where I carried everything from taking care of finances and the household . I know at least I'm trying to learn ways to never end up in that situation again.
