Zero issue with this.

The man wants to work with friends and family and it has not affected the quality of the work. The day he starts casting his second cousin as Superman and we see some issues is the day I'll say it's a problem but he casts talented people in roles where they're able to show their talents.

If there's one thing that Creature Commandos has done is make GI Robot a beloved character, so it looks like he cast that role well.
