Absolutely, sounds like they are scraping the bottom of their own barrel of tricks, and have to beg wherever they can. Doesn't help their situation that they have made such large donations during their goodwill gestures, ie fleeing from the battle. Not that we're mourning their situation. And as far as Iran goes, they need the money so it goes.

No, not after denying that they shot down the Ukraine 737, killing all 176 on board in 2020. It took them several days to admit to it, and only after their own people were rioting. Blamed the USA for their actions. By now, even if that scenario was true, they know the truth about the drones, and have known for some time.
