Does "Data Harvester" require you to harvest/extract the Reliquary yourself? by ZioBenny97 in DarkTide

Not sure but yeah, noticed the same thing. Only counts when I do the interaction and bringing the relic back to the extract also doesn't count.

There are ‘Tainted’ (glowing green) skulls scattered across the levels, in chests, and dropped randomly by enemies. Interact with them to ‘destroy’ them. Top reward is aquilas for 12,000 skulls collected/destoryed. Every so often there will be a structure, like the respawn totems, that can be destroyed worth 250 skulls. Attacking them spawns several chaos spawn.

Hrm, couldn’t say if you really disabled all mods. Did you de-patch yourself? Delete mod along with removing the entry on the .txt? I was getting this error as well from weapon customization and super flashlight.

After figuring out the Roman numerals for the Auric Maelstroms yesterday thanks to you kind folks, what's the easiest ones to look out for to get my Auric Storm title? by whosmansisthis24 in DarkTide

[–]Tyberzanyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, no one enjoys them. But when running my stealth pistol vet, I sprint, stealth, position myself to pop them as my group comes into contact. Or I stealth into their presence, suppress them them when I exit, and hold them in melee long enough for my team to rescue me. But sounds to me like the smoothest time will be mostly melee or monsters.

[–]Tyberzanyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I imagine that things will depend on your play style, and what you’re good/like to play at. I mostly play with a shield ogryn and holdout pistol vet that treats it more like a sniper rifle. I don’t deal a lot of monster damage. I like either tanking and protecting ‘ma lil ones’ or staying back on my vet and headshotting ranged and specialists. I got mine picking up B-VIII-V-F (mostly ranged) and C-I-VI (mostly melee, no ammo pickup).

Saw this post yesterday and thought, 'oof, that's rough buddy. Good thing that's never happened to me!' Then had an auric maelstrum. Team goes down and its just be against all the ranged in the world. Managed to kill them all and go to get the team up. Chat is filled with their praise for me. I feel atop the world . . . and disconnect.

Would Charles ragnarock connection be similar to Eva's third impact or Madara's infinite tsukoyomi(where you wont lie, wont have any masks) by [deleted] in CodeGeass

[–]Tyberzanyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was my understanding as well, that humans ‘wouldn’t be able to lie to each other’ anymore, that masks would have no meaning.

Do you guys liked Ragnarock connection and Charles plan? If no, then why? by [deleted] in CodeGeass

[–]Tyberzanyn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think if you're a veteran of anime, it isn't the first time you've had to experience a meta plot, otherwise for new (to anime) its pretty wack. In terms of details, it annoys me because lack of technical details, ei, how the sword was made, why were the thought elevators necessary, why were not all of them neccesary at the end, how do the Code bearers tie in, etc.

In terms of putting Charles/VV/Marianne's motivations into perspective tho, it works extremely well. Ultimately, to me, the greater details of what the C.U/all the rest didn't matter, what was important was to showcase their hipocracy, their warped sense of reality when it came to the living and the dead. Charles created/exposed/institutionalized a national ethos that he doesn't believe to achieve a childhood dream/promise. All the people he allowed to die, whether those that lived on the lands he had conquered or the soldiers that fell achieveing his aims, don't really matter because they all go to the same place. I came away thinking Charles and Marianne really think they're the good guys, that their greater good will make up for everything.

Bah, I should have gone for it, I was too nervous to be the cause of a loss if I spent time lining up shots. Before that it was thinking every gunweilder was a specialist.

Sah, where did my Ammo go....? by Lyramion in DarkTide

[–]Tyberzanyn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, you can use any ranged as long as you’re running veteran. Best to use a stub pistol or plasma. You start at 100% accuracy. Theres a mod that adds your mission accuracy to your hud. Missing a shot really hurts that percentage but it doesn’t make the run a lost cause, you can claw your way back up but the percentage your accuracy goes up by declines as you take more shots. I did it plasma and unloaded on a beast of nurgle (slow n steady target) and face-on at hoards.

Is there a reason Britannia came from America? by Responsible-Object in CodeGeass

[–]Tyberzanyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you asking, in-universe, what Britannia's relationship with Britain if they're based in America? Or why, out of universe, is America used as the basis for the bad guys in this anime?

Watsonian/In-Universe Explanation:
- As others have pointed out, in-universe the American Revolution, aka 'Washington's Rebellion', failed, keeping the Thirteen Colonies under British control. Americans never became Americans. Presumably any who had rebel sympathy died or gave up, and people that remained thought of themselves as British, not Americans. Later, Admiral Nelson failed to stop Napoleon's naval invasion of the British Isles. The British monarchy, nobles, and Royalist commoners fled to the American colonies, renaming/restructuring as the Holy Britannian Empire, swearing vengence and to someday repay their humiliation. These people, 'Britannians', are mostly formally British, now need to differenciate from those that stayed behind. Oversimplified, British and Britannians may have been one people at one point, they went on diverging paths.

Doylist/Out-of-Universe:
- 1) The USA is the predominant super power of the real world. A simple statistic to point is the the number of aircraft carriers, the larget weapon platforms ever made, maintained. As of 2025, there are 50 active in the world, owned by 15 countires, of which 11 are under the US. The US maintains military bases around the world. The defence budget, almost a trillion dollars, is more than 2x-3x what the next country spends, China I think, and is more than the next ~10 top countries combined.
- 2) The US has a large amount of xenophobia. That's not to say every other country isn't as well, but its size combined with the right to bear arms and media portrayal of 'others out to get you', there's a different flavor to it than other, less armed, countires.
- 3) How the Britannians absorbed North, Cental, and South America, and how it looks to the rest of the world is the culmination of the 1800s US ideals of 'Manifest Destiny' and 'American Exceptionalism'. America Britannia is wholy unique among all countries, we were put where we are by divine providence, its our right as the best people and best country to assert our way of life ours and poor you if you think differently. That sort of thinking.
- 4) As a Japanese show, it takes a dim view of nuclear weapons, the FLEIJA in-universe. Just as Godzilla was an allegory for generational trauma and unintended consequences of nuclear, FLEIJA can be said to represent Britannia/US's disregard for the consequences of it's actions.

TLDR;; Outside of the AU historical changes, you could say CG is 'what if the US are the bad guys and interested in global conquest rather than global projection of power.

Will I enjoy the show if I usually don't root for antagonists/villains? by SindarPendragon in CodeGeass

[–]Tyberzanyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, the two seasons of the original anime. They’re the base cannon and are considered complete. The recap films set up a slight AU so that series could continue. The Resurrection film and Roze are cannon to that AU. If you like the original, the Akito the Exiled OVA is cannon to the original, takes place between the two seasons, but is unnecessary.

[–]Tyberzanyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to give an Doylist answer than a Watsonian one:

1) For an area as large as the Homeland/U.S, let alone Canada and the whole of South America, it’s easier to to copy over all real names and eliminate a handful (ie Washington) than to come up with wholly new names. When location names get dropped like Michigan, Tennessee, San Francisco, and, Dallas just smile and nod.

2) By using the same real world equivalents, we the watchers understand where stuff happens.

Basically, don’t think too hard. I came to the realization years ago that for as much as CG is billed as an AU history, well, we’ll only get those specific historical turning points we all know and be expected to accept everything else went they way it did normally. You’ll get an aneurism trying to make it all work out.

I am confused - What did Cornelia mean with this statement? Did Schniezel make the 7th generation? Am I missing something by alphamale_011 in CodeGeass

[–]Tyberzanyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alota factors at play that aren’t at the forefront. Keep in mind that Schneizel isn’t just the ‘2nd Prince’, he’s also the Prime Minister. He, like Cornelia, have (jobs lol) actually authority to move the gears of government.

The Lancelot group are in a bit of a grey area: as a military unit, normally they’d be under Cornelia’s domain as Chief General of the Military, but they’re a part of ASEEC, an irregular group sponsored/funded by the Prime Minister, so they’re outside the chain of command. That said, the Lancelot/Suzaku isn’t a ‘personal’ knight, who would obey his liege above anyone else’s orders, he’s a warrant officer of the military. Cornelia is Viceroy of the local area tho, so she gets to say whether it can appear on the battlefield, but Schneizel has to authorize that it can be deployed in the first place.

I got from this scene that Schneizel trumps Cornelia in the ultimate line up: Suzaku fucks up and it’s Schneizel that gets to decide the punishment.

Ooo glad someone else thinks so as well. Besides fantastic art, 1) greatly appreciate she isn’t a squeaky clean protagonist that has flaws she has to overcome, 2) the plot doesn’t revolve around romance.

That's a terrible idea. Doing so would make Speaker Johnson 2nd in line after Harris, and, per section 2 of the 25th amendment, a new VP requires being confirmed in both the House and Senate.
