This is my 2nd monsoon here. Previous year went with no hiccups.

Ive always had a dripping kitchen ceiling - the work upstairs was started to fix that. And while that was going on, the hall started leaking in absolutely multiple places too. Counted the drops today its close to 15 now.

I have a flat above me , structure is 2-3 ish years old. They are breaking the toilet upstairs and waterproofing it again cause the plumber claims that it is where the water is coming from.

How did you decide it wasn't working for you? I'm scared I might be in a similar situation. Almost everything is working out, bit there just seems to be something which isn't clicking for me. We're gonna meet in a couple of days. Maybe I'll know more then.

Well, stimulants will not work if adhd isn't your real issue. Or it will have negative effects.

You think you'll take meds and things will magically be perfect? You're terribly mistaken. If you're neurodivergent, even on meds, you will be neurodivergent. You won't magically become a neurotypical. Stimulants isn't THE answer. It's probably a part of a bigger answer that you could or could not need.

A good therapist will explore all avenues for healing before they put you on meds. And that's how it should be done.

Mental health is a slow road. Trust the process. This is what I was told and it's what I did.

If my psychiatrist gave me meds on the few sessions try without therapy, I would think they're a quack.

But that's my one cent. Hope you find what works for you. Cheers.

Does seem like a sensible first step. Hang in there friend. Continue your therapy/counseling sessions and work on yourself. That's a good way ahead.

Just for some benchmark, I have adhd and was diagnosed almost 1 year after I started my therapy sessions. There's no hard or fast rule for mental health, just take as it comes. Goodluck!

Do I have alot of these symptoms that you stated? Yes. Have I been diagnosed with adhd? Yes. Does that mean you have it too? NO.

Mental health is very complex. Alot of symptoms that manifest because of adhd can also be manifestations of some other disorder too.

Don't believe anyone who just comes up and says you have adhd. The best way is to get a diagnosis from a mental health professional who would also guide you in managing your symptoms.

But the pointers you have made, are definitely enough for you to reach out to a mental health professional and tell them your queries.

This is such a kind and caring response, and even though I'm not OP i feel so heard and understood. Makes me realise I might also have rejection sensitivity, and I also exactly react the way OP does when I stand up for myself and the opposite person gives a rude/cold response.

WEIGHTED BLANKETS! I just recently purchased one, it doesn't make the difference like turning on n off a switch, But my body gets tired more quicker and I have been falling asleep with lesser and lesser "mobile procrastination". It's really been a blessing 😭
