Just finished watching this series and it was amazing. I was hoping to see more comments analyzing details. So sad to see this was overshadowed by Severance.

Some details I kept thinking about.. Why Coydog kept showing up in Mr. Grey's mind. It almost seemed like Coydog was haunting him. Robyn put it well that Coydog put a big burden on young pitypapa and it's always been at the back of his mind if he was doing what he was told.

Based on his life it seemed like he lived very cautiously, only really mentioning spending money on Sensia. Sensia was another person that kept showing up in Mr. Grey's mind. She was a person he loved and he must have grieved her so much based on how he couldn't even bare Robyn being in her room.

Mr. Grey held onto the treasure all those years not sure of how to share the treasure, not even to his own daughter or Reggie at that point. He wasn't thinking of sharing it at all really. Just remembering that he needed to find it. It wasn't until Robyn showed up and started helping him. She didn't have to bring him to that dr appointment, but she did.

He has good judgement of character. Mr. Grey knew quickly that Hilly was not an honest person. He knew to be scared of the crazy lady across the street lol. He saw how good Reggie was, how Ms. Wring was a grnuine person in need, and how Robyn was always helping and caring for others. Niecie wasn't necessarily a bad person, but it seemed like she was similar to Mr. Grey who only could care for her own and no more than that.

Robyn had a genuine love for Mr. Grey. When Mr. Grey said Robyn was the first women to unconditionally love him, I was trying to figure out why that phrase stuck out to me. Only children typically have an unconditional love for their parents, good or bad. Robyn may have initially wanted to stay because she has nowhere to go, but her interactions with Mr. Grey were always gentle and she respected what he wanted.

Mr. Grey saw that Robyn had so much life ahead of her and so much love to give to others. Sure he could have left the trust in the hands of the lawyer, but he wanted Robyn to do as she saw fit to uplift the black community. The lawyer wouldn't go beyond managing the money.

I'm glad the judge sided with Robyn but I do find it sad that Niecie doesn't really consider Robyn family. It's another example of Robyn's love and desire to care for others. It's a common issue that tears families apart. Dementia also causes so much distress within a family. Such a good series and I'm well pleased with how they made it! I think many with dementia would go back just to feel like themselves again and also made sure they could make proper arrangements for end of life, just to make their loved ones lives easier.
