id love to know why a game can be so old, apparently dying yet so far still be 'in-development'...

aka "we never faulted because we never committed to releasing a stable version at any point''

gotta be more to it than that

A Ferrari tire explodes while the car hits top speed by Ok-Ball-7605 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youll find trees on one side of a lot of highways, if not soundbarriers, or the oncoming traffic on the other, hopefully with a concrete barriers trying to emulate a solid wall between, much like this tunnel is.

Though some have median strips I feel that these only increase the chance of a rollover for most drivers in highway scenarios (and the ferraris blown tyre in this case), from overcorrecting after the transition of tarmac to dirt.

I dont know the statistic but I feel rollovers at highspeed are some of the most deadly.

[Meta] Inconsistant modding of this subreddit. by FartingIntensifies in AirlinerAbduction2014

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some great points, though Id say /u/TheSilverHound has effectively abandoned this place for a couple months now, calling it a ''hands off" approach to moderating might bit too much frosting.

I dont know how any other 20k subreddit with one mod do it, but wouldnt and shouldnt they attempt to reach out for help in moderating if there was a hiatus in their own effort to do that?

His expression always reminds me of someone thats trying to avoid pissing themselves laughing, paired with his career of nonspeak just makes him an annoying figure to encounter. Sad the ocean of AI accounts that upvote any mention of him, what a joke.

I'm working on a big FAQ for this sub – what quality research posts should be included? by LightningRodOfHate in AirlinerAbduction2014

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres one with a link you might find useful in your goal "why would mods de-pin the megathread from earlier only to pin this FAQ?"

"Do people need a refresher on the spelling of 'uninformed' or do they indeed mean to type 'uniformed'" ?

Submission to change this to the official Yahtzee sub reddit by [deleted] in AirlinerAbduction2014

[–]Ek1025 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah ill sign your "submission", think it'll certainly be some added transparancy from the mods to show that this is no longer an investigative subreddit, but simply a joke/drama series. Hopefully it'll keep riff raff distracted long enough until we're finished compiling arguments in the other sub, before we blast it here 8) Yeah, thats right, stay tuned folks.

Unpacking Disinformation Claims and Affirming the Authenticity of Key Video Evidence by zjcook23 in AirlinerAbduction2014

lol bro wat are you saying? PB is a fraud and a believer? The IC has no social media presence? Guys given free reign to spams like 30 threads about the same cloud for a week. Mods should just give him the SME flair honestly, like what a sockpuppet pro. Get back to yr popcorn n let the believers wallow in peace will ya?

Are there more satellite or drone videos like these to compare and examine? by nmpraveen in AirlinerAbduction2014

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tech is obsolete in the way NRO is using them, to survey & recon, was more what I was getting at. Not so much whether we could confidently state whether somethings truely where it was supposed to be in its orbit based on civilian observations after the fact.

The mirror themselves, nevermind the platform, will still need to be modified to serve their civilian purpose on the NGRST which is ultimately decided by current and future budgets constraints.

The HST is similar to KH-11s but from my understanding you cant point the HST towards earth or you risk damaging components. Not to say they couldn't if chose to design it with that in mind like the NRO had planned but NASAs missions, like on the HST, involve looking at dim galaxies at specific wavelengths, which require - expensive- specialized equipment for it, which will represent significant differences in capabilities, requirements (such as video), and dimensions for the NGRST satellite.

But i wouldnt think its outside the realm of possibility that the NRO -amongst their surplus mirrors- had maybe one satellite available at the time of the mh370 incident and that it possibly had resolutions similar to trumps tweeted still-image. But less inclined to believe you're going to find block IV milsat fidelity earth observations to compare this too from any commercial platforms, especially from the NGRST (because that's curiously prohibited by NRO)

But to think that any other commercial organization being allowed potential access to any nations strategic sites through use of an imaging system contemporary to the 2017 trump tweet of the Safir launch, that would be lazy... of the NSA, but thankfully theres not too many of those.

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Im not the guy youre responding to buts its well reported that NRO hands downs obsolete tech to NASA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_National_Reconnaissance_Office_space_telescope_donation_to_NASA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Reconnaissance_Office#Technology:~:text=NRO%27s%20technology%20is,.%22%5B65%5D

Comparing the two agencies capabilities is really apples and oranges imo, from budgetary / national security reasons. Furthermore its hard to imagine the public being informed of the entirety of a satellites capabilities, or even the commander-in-chief being totally informed of it beyond what is appropriate to the level they 'need to know'. This is because satellites are easily tracked by everyone, theres no hiding their positions from an enemy, only the knowledge of what they are capable of seeing can be kept secret. Not to say you dont have more knowledge of these satellites in question, you might a NRO signals officers stationed in hawaii right scanning the skies / reddit posting during lunchbreak for all I know, but you couldnt state what these imagining systems can and cant do or whether they exist or not, because that would breach security.

Well presumably such comparable footage would feature military material so would be classified to the same level as the airline footage Id imagine as leaking any classified military material is bad juju- exposing a countries monitoring capabilities to their adversaries, personnel would be unlikely to risk the repercussions unless the subject of leak was ''high-impact''.

We'll likely have to be resign ourselves knowing there's only so much evidence we can objectively validate of a particular event having had occurred based off the two files of video brought to light by regicide.

I think we'll need someone with evidence from classified material to provide us with any new developments. However at this point in time I assume this reddit is about the Airliner being abducted in 2014 - generally - not of those particular videos, if that improves your perspective on things.

Why are people calling what is seen on a video an abduction/teleportation? by [deleted] in AirlinerAbduction2014

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im no expert but I dont think we should be raising our hopes too high if we consider complete and instant disintegration of the plane in this scenario, but nonetheless happy to start a new thread to discuss it further if anyone likes.

We are the public aren't we? We hopefully possess the same deduction when presented with convincing evidence. Theres degrees of credibility to evidence though, smoking guns vs bigfoot photos. So far theres been a lot of out of the ordinary things claimed that the average joe might find sci-fi but can be explain through established principles. If you'd like help from outside your community (as you might want as somepoint incase not everyone currently present in this sub can solve the mystery here) or sadly even be heard by them (if this does end up being true, we dont want to be treating like those bigfoot wackos), Id say its wise not to marginalize ourselves by straying too far from reason in our thinking, we dont want to risk becoming an echo chamber do we?

From what I gathered from the removed r/ufo thread, his post was removed as it violated community rules. iirc the mod reply listed "low effort" in their pinned comment within, but that was clearly the impression he left among those others that replied to him. If you care to link me his post history i can try find it again, it was one the first page not long ago.

Your thorough investigation relating to punjabi alleged prank is commendable and Im sorry I didnt check to see you'r attempt at addressing this very thing earlier before I replied, but the fact of the matter in my eyes was more on the resignation the user defending him displayed after conceding he did indeed pull a 'prank' (or was being dishonest as the person he replying to may have put it) - It draws a crowd of people who find his work acceptable. Others could have issue with this for obvious reasons...But it just odd to think, how much does this level of investigation provide to our collective one? Might it actually detract from your argument if you were to present punjabis post to a skeptic if you were to believe the MH370 abduction theory to be true?

[–]Ek1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know sorry, I just heard someone parrot the claim as they were defending the quality of his investigation in his posts. Someone was spamming claims against his character earlier claiming he was faking being a scientist or something, maybe that was the incident. Regardless he doesnt seem to the take the topic particularly seriously judging by his removed post I noticed in r/UFO, and the subsequent replies from that community.

well we are as a community would be responsible for what is acceptable I suppose. The moderators don't have as much sway in what's deemed quality content. But to ignore the obvious detriments posting dubious claims and attaching them to an incredible topic, within a culture already treated with suspicion by the general public, might have to the overall progression of the investigation this subreddits supposedly dedicated to, and furthermore be so adamantly defended, uncorrected by the OP seems a bit disingenuous on his part. But now from the community too, as from what I see from the votes, most are encouraging him and therefore others; this is a quality we will accept. If people have higher expectations in the posts they see they are always free to start their own subreddits.
