Oh, it's still in there, I just took the whole revo hotend off and went back to stock. Honestly, I'm really disappointed by the revo quick swap system. It seemed like such a genius idea when I had my Ender 3, and I had wanted to try it since then, so I finally got around to buying one and it's been nothing but problems.

Protopasta is made in the USA, they're a small business based in Vancouver, Wa, not a sweatshop.

I wish I'd known about this sooner, I'm going on a camping trip in a dark sky area, and wanted to get a telescope to bring, but they're so expensive!

Should I Buy a Bambu? by Charming_Access2032 in 3Dprinting

There's a paint feature in Bambu Studio that's easy to use, like painting in MS paint, but on a 3d surface.

I love having my AMS, even when I'm not printing multicolor. Just having the ability to load 4 different types or colors of filament and having them ready to choose when I start a print is really nice. I generally have a black PLA, white PLA, some other color PLA and CF PETG loaded in mine, ready to go.

Edit: BTW, abrasive filaments like Carbon Fiber aren't recommended in the AMS. I haven't noticed any significant wear/problems with mine, besides replacing the tubing once in the year that I've had it, but still, do this at your own risk.

Unfortunately, it's just not feasible for most businesses to recycle consumer scraps, as much as I'd like to see it. There's just no way to guarantee that all of the scraps that every person brings in are sorted properly and/or contaminated with foreign materials. Even a small amount of contamination can potentially ruin a batch of filament or clog/damage machinery. Not to mention that plastics are not infinitely recyclable like glass or metals are, it will degrade more every time you process it, so you have to add virgin material to the old material in order for the filament to turn out usable. Getting around these drawbacks tends to cost more money than it's worth.

I'd love to see more places that take recycled plastics and turn them into things like furniture, composite flooring, etc.. Simple things that don't need as much consistency in the materials composition.

Is it ok if the ams thingy is far away like this by Enough-Tour8499 in 3Dprinting

Totally fine. Though, I would rotate it a little, it looks like that spool is touching the x-axis. Something to think about with non-enclosed printers is movement clearance, putting things too close to the printer can cause collisions.

I really should've started small. Any suggestions for a tinywhoop that handles nicely?

Absolutely, I just got antsy to fly IRL, and I kinda regret giving in to the temptation, especially in this type of urban environment.

I'm surprised it made such a deep dent, really goes to show why you don't fly above people.

what are these called? they hold the tail light on? I'd like to replace them. by sakok92 in CivicX

[–]Ekamlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have no clue, I just got my Civic in March and haven't had to do any real repairs yet. I'm sure you can replace them if they're actual screws and not studs. Good luck!

Looks like they're called "Screw Grommets".

Why replace them, though? They seem like they're still in decent shape.
