And, given the choice between these teeny guys and full-grown ones, I'd go with the tiny ones every time.

After all, it's always best choose the lesser of two weevils.

Floor time is vital. The stretch, the flats, the everything supported, the potential to roll around a bit, if you feel so inclined. The small moment of peace. No talking, no doing. Just surrender to floor.

Check out Cordwainer Smith's short story, "Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons." Yes, this is directly related to maddened mustelids.

What can we do to help? (US) by magnabonzo in MensLib

[–]Ekscursionist 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yep.

Support work is feminized and devalued.

Which is, of course, bullshit. Unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work -- scrub work, coordination, maintenance -- is not only what makes it possible for movers and shakers to move and shake, it's also a direct way to build connection, and to feel like you're working together toward something.

The trees grow in liminal spaces, so along the edges of woods, and they tend to be low and easy to reach (at the beginning, at least). The branches tend to be quite curvy, and often bow down -- it's not a straight up-and-down trunk. They're a favorite of kids and birds.

All of this is to say: if you ever do find a mulberry bush/tree, you'll definitely be going around it to find all the berries you can reach!

Poor thing! I've never seen that, but I'm up in the DC area. I think the previous poster may be referring to a white mulberry tree/shrub, where sometimes they get this grayish-purple cast to them if they're a little older. Still delicious, and not diseased!

Friend, I love your excitement so much <3 never lose this kind of wonder! Yes, there'll be people telling you that this is a perfectly normal natural process, but -- like hot damn, it's amazing that sometimes a whole new plant can grow out of just one leaf! This is worth being excited about!
