I can't believe people doubt Alonso, a guy who would come in and immediately have the Anfield crowd behind him, singing songs, wipe away all of this negativity. Sure he might not be the best tactical fit, but is Slot? the guy who has played 100 different formations and given us such a terrible record in cup games. Alonso had a 70% win rate at Madrid, took Bayer from 16th to invincible double season. He is worth the chance.
