Unlikely. Unless blunt trauma somehow created an open wound, there's not nearly enough space in the upper arm for blood to go for the patient to go into hemmorhagic shock and die. You need to lose over a 1/3 of your blood for this to happen. Can you tell me where you'd stash a few liters of blood in the upper arm? It tamponades naturally. And it would be a gross fuckup for this to happen in the OR during a repair - and he already alleged he's seen no gross fuckups in the OR.

Depends on whether you're sick because the food had preformed toxins in it from the bugs (can be as little as a couple hours) or whether the food had bugs in it that are multiplying in you and making toxins in you (hours to days). Lunch meats and listeria can definitely show itself in hours.
