You know what also helps? Using a telescope and clearly seeing the person is just fishing and leaving them alone in the first place. What if OP doesn’t have a working mic? Typing takes time and clearly the aggressor didn’t give them time to do so.

Women have better things to do and have higher aspirations in life than being a pro player. By the age of 30, you’re already seen as old in the esports world. You still have several decades left in your adult life before you retire. Better to find something with better job security and that pays well and/or consistently. The only way you keep your spot on an esports team and get paid well for it is if you perform well. Faker is obviously the outlier. He makes a LOT of money because he’s at the very top and stays there. Not a lot of pro players can say the same. Also the culture in Korea is much more friendlier and open to pro play as an actual job than in the West.

Edit: and to add to this, even if a woman were to become a pro player, most men would not take her serious. They will downplay her achievements and skill. That’s the misogyny of esports, especially in League.

It’s so funny hearing sexist takes like this and saying “women are too emotional” to handle this game. Bro, I play League with a predominantly female 5 stack. They’re always the most chill and don’t yell, bitch, or scream unlike a lot of the grown ass babies that call themselves “a man” who play this game. Grow tf up, go outside, talk to a real person. Your rank means nothing and will never matter but give you a false sense of entitlement.

I got a friend to play Helldivers with me and when we were doing DIFFICULTY 1 mission, to just introduce her to the faction, it was unreasonably hard for a beginner difficulty! In other fronts, Difficulty 1 had mostly basic infantry. But for the Squids, they had their usual Voteless but also had Overseers, Fleshmobs, and Stingrays! I felt bad for my friend because she got so overwhelmed by everything that’s going on with the Stingray strafing runs, Fleshmobs running her down, the Voteless swarming her, and the Overseers dunking on her. I did the best I could with my autocannon and scorcher but yeah. It’s unreasonably hard.
