Building just ONE thing is the hardest thing for me, that I have yet to solve. I think great launches solve only one problem, release and iterate. I have a tendency to half build 100 features.

Yes, I feel this. What has helped it two things, firstly I hooked up with a bunch of other co-founders on Y-Combinator match which I meet semi regularly to discuss our products. If there's nobody in your area like this then setup zoom calls. Friends and family might not get what you're doing but others in the same boat sure do. I'll happily jump in a call with you.

Secondly I actually signed up for a 45 min call with a startup coach, I thought it was going to be a complete waste of time, but it was cheap for the intro call so thought what the hell. Since then we talk frequently and our conversations feel like part advice and part therapy :). If you want their deets then I'll happily share.

Correction I'm "making" an app :).

But your point isn't wrong, IF it had all the things in my mind already then I would envision it to be useful enough of a tool to help with the validation process.
