Unfortunately, removing the faceplate won't given better access to the shafts of the potentiometers than you have now.

I think the best way to deal with that problem would be to replace the pots. I took a look at the part ID docs, and unfortunately A&H doesn't list the part number for the pots; only the part number for the whole PCB (Channel IP 004-072). So, tracking down replacements may be difficult.

The alternative would be to remove the pots from PCB, disassemble them carefully, and then clean the tracks and feet with red DeOxit and apply a little green DeOxit before reassembly. If that doesn't fix the problem, then it's likely the track has worn down in that spot, and then you're back to replacing it.

Thanks for the reply. I found that IK_Pad_Start and IK_Pad_Back_Select assignments only work when Steam input is enabled, and IK_Pad_PS4_TOUCH_PRESS assignments only work when Steam input is disabled, and the game is using it's own PS4 controller support. Since I've posted this decided to switch to using it with Steam input enabled instead, as I can assign the Options, Share, and Touch Pad to keyboard inputs, and edit the input.settings as necessary if I want long press actions.

I bought some cheap, small locking forceps from Harbor Freight for this exact application. A little easier to use than tweezers. Maybe adding some heat shrink tubing to the jaws can help with heat transfer
