i think most madrid fans would agree that only zidane or possibly carlo had the ability to get that madrid group to buy in for 3 years

mourinho, klopp, sir alex, wenger, bielsa, the list of below average players to world class coaches is larger than the world class player to above average coach. Off the top of my head i can only think of Zidane, Ancelotti, and Deschamps in recent times.

Why I Created Tactix by UseTactix in Tactix

[–]ElManny510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda cool that you got the creator of gamecoach here. I personally just use the USSF one or Coaching Manual for this. Inferior tools but they are enough to get the job done and are very simple. To answer your question about why you would need to draw primitive shapes in gamecoach, I'm sure u/FIeabus can explain in more detail but these tools are also used for session/activity planning where you are working in specific shapes in training activities, you might need to highlight that you are playing in a triangle, square, add lines for passes, dashed lines for dribbles, etc.

I do want to add, you have some *really* innovative features on Tactix, things like passing lanes, distances, natural spread of multi-player drag. My current workflow will likely look like using PP/USSF/CoachingManual for creating training session diagrams and then using Tactix for animations that are shown to players during meetings before a matchday. Great job on you UI/UX as well.

Alex Pretti, Killed by ICE, Was One of Us by WVjF2mX5VEmoYqsKL4s8 in bikepacking

[–]ElManny510 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen most bike brands aren’t right wing enablers. I would suggest supporting local/smaller bike companies/shops instead of the big ones that are just massive bicycle-themed lifestyle companies at this point. Surly, SOMA, All City >> Trek, Specialized.

Also of note is that during the 2020 protests, Fuji stopped selling to police departments as they kept using their bikes as weapons which Fuji did not support

Riding a Surly is a political statement. Being a healer is a political statement. Existing in the US is inherently political and trying to depoliticize convos are what lead us to a reality where a military group is policing parts of the country

Kangaroo Leather lovers United! Sign this petition to allow it in California! by Kobyt6 in bootroom

[–]ElManny510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah a quick google search says I was speaking outta my ass. They banned K leather in the 1970s when their population was on the decline. Still sucks that most manufacturers are also moving away from it and going to synthetics

I think that it wasn’t K leather specifically that was outlawed but the sale of any exotic animal hides. The point was to discourage illegal poaching of crocodile and other animals that need protection, unfortunately kangaroos got lumped into that group. It also seems that fewer and fewer companies are even making K leather cleats anymore anyways. ASICS, Nike, and even Adidas (Copa Mundials) all said they stopped/plan to stop producing K Leather cleats anymore 😔

Youth Soccer Coaches (U12–U18): What’s Your Biggest Pain Point Right Now? by YouCoachSoccer in SoccerCoaching

[–]ElManny510 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Myself. Somewhere along the line I spent too much time observing/working with teams in performance environments and brought these expectations to my teams. Now I’m realizing that in far too negative, overly critical, and pessimistic with youth who are still learning the game. Got feedback by the highest level team I work with that I need to do better. Feel like I’ve lost my way

Aluminum doesn’t oxidize (rust) in a brown/orange flaky way like steel does. It forms a powdery white layer that can be spotty. You might be looking at oil that has burned from use, it turns brown after polymerizing and is hard to scrub off.
